Red Jet Terminal, Cowes
(approx 1 miles)
Once in Cowes come out of the ferry terminal onto the High Street and turn left. Walk all the way up the high street past Beckford Road until you reach the Police Station on your right and The Duke of York pub in front of you. Turn right up Mill Hill Road, and we are number 59 on the right hand side. This walk will take 5-10 minutes. It is uphill so if you have heavy luggage you may want to hop in a taxi at the Terminal, usually about £3.
East Cowes Ferry terminal
(approx 2 miles)
Once in East Cowes you need to cross the River Medina to Cowes. Either take your car on the Chain Ferry (Directions to Chain Ferry) known as the Floating Bridge for £1.50, which runs continuous crossings throughout the day (05:05 - 00:20) or drive to Cowes via Newport which takes about 20 minutes.
Free wireless broadband throughout the house and the best breakfast in Town using fresh local produce from 7am
Andrea and Mark are very friendly and welcoming at The Caledon Guest House. It is extremely clean, very comfortable and has a modern feel about it, with everything Cowes has to offer just a short walk away. Mark's cooked breakfast is one of the best on the Isle of Wight. We had a fantastic stay and should we require accommodation in Cowes in the future The Caledon Guest House will be our first choice."

Was staying on the island for 1 night for work and wanted somewhere in Cowes. Came across the Caledon Guest House on trip advisor and after reading the reviews, I booked a room. A very warm welcome on check in and was delighted to be upgraded to the double ensuite as it was available. The room was spotless and along with the bathroom was of a standard some well known hotel chains dont achieve. Free wifi and extremely quiet, perfect place to relax after a long working day. Breakfast was a pleasure with locally sourced produce and the perfect start to the next day. My first ever stay in a guest house but will most certainly look to stay here again on my next working trip to the island.
This was a great b&b. Really lovely house with perfect sized bedrooms and bathrooms. Very clean and tidy and really nothing to complain about. The room I stayed in even had a view of the sea which was a great bonus. Mark and his family are lovely and the breakfast they cooked was better than I have had in many restaurants. I would definitely stay here again if I cam back. If wifi matters to you, the connection is very fast.
My partner and I stayed at the Caldedon for 2 nights over the weekend. We are really quite fussy and always manage to find fault but we really couldn't fault the Caledon. We had a warm welcome and were shown to our double en-suite room and it was lovely. Spacious and spotlessly clean with a partial view of the sea. It was a five minute walk down to the town where there was a good selection of bars and restaurants, as well as the marina. Breakfast was really good each morning made with locally sourced produce. All in all very good value for money. Would highly recommend it.
Lovely stay, amazing breakfast! Stayed with Mark and Andrea for two nights and had a very comfortable time. Great size room with loads of natural light and a fab sea view room. The bathroom was lovely and warm and the water temperature was great after a long day closing up my house for the new owner. Breakfast each morning was wonderfully fresh with local ingredients and super tasty, nothing was too much trouble
Stayed for 2 nights early October. Missed the ferry by 2 minutes so called to advise we would not arrive until close to midnight! No problem at all and Andrea waited up to welcome us: a really pleasant start to a really nice stay. Room was large with good size double bed and a single, although there were only two of us. View down the hill to the Solent from the large bay window was an unexpected bonus. Both room and bathroom were very clean and all fittings of a high standard. Breakfast was in a light and airy room and selection was excellent. All locally sourced produce and perfectly cooked. There is a selection offered from a menu, but if you prefer something else they will try to accommodate, which again is a very nice touch. I would definitely stay again at The Caledon and it's nice to find B&B done so well.

I stayed for 2 nights with my partner and 3 month old boy (Herbie). Mark and Andrea could not have been more welcoming or frendly. A cheery greeting each morning and a fantastic breakfast. They are a wealth of knowledge on the Island and can recommend bars, restaurants, shopping, activities transport and will happily look up anything they don't already know! The room was large and very clean and the bathroom was also.I think that The Caledon proves exceptional value for money. I will go back again soon as The Caledon and Cowes itself is such a lovely place to relax.
My partner and I are involved in a charity yacht regatta in Cowes every September and we always stay at The Caledon. Mark and Andrea are great hosts, friendly, efficient and very welcoming. It has been fun watching the kids grow up and now that they have expanded into the house next door the whole atmosphere of the place has such a light airy feel. The beds are all comfortable with nice quality bed linen and there are robes in the room, what a luxury. Freeview TV and good quality Wi Fi connections. Mark's breakfasts are spectacular and how he makes them so quick I have no idea. I would recommend an ensuite room if you are a big bathroom fan like me as the shared bathrooms are quite small, but always clean and well equipped. Can't recommend this place enough.
