Service is excellent. Fish and Chips are excellent - if you like your fish and chips fairly healthy (the beef dripping fat Yorkshireman that most 'natives' might prefer is the best way to an early heart attack). Also great Caribbean food (parties etc). Its a take away! Its well respected in Chapel town and I always go there for my Pattie and Chips. It's good.

Cantors is a " fast food" take-away that includes fish and chips in its menu , I wont mention the fish-cake , it should be avoided at all costs. If you are looking for traditional fish and chips served by a grumpy overweight Yorkshireman straight from piping hot beef dripping fat then this is not the place. The chips are always cold , the fish often " soggy" with clearly no passion for the batter. Since the re-furb the prices have been increased to bring them almost on a par with city centre rivals. "Cantors" it seems is a well known name but don't be mistaken , its more of a " landmark" as opposed to a known take-away for great food. Its not all " doom and gloom" , the service is good , the hygiene also acceptable but the " fish and chips". The worst I have ever had.
