I recently visited this restaurant with my family for my daughters birthday and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The waiter was fast and friendly, and I feel everyone was attended to well. The food was highly recommendatory, it arrived piping hot and the atmosphere was a pleasant one to be and eat in. I have already raved about the food to my friends and associates and think that the restaurant should have the attention it deserves. there are few flaws i can think of apart from the obvious need for rejuvenation. Its hard to find a good indian these days and personally I think they really "stepped up to the plate." This place is a must if you are in the area!
I read the review by Josh S but decided to risk it as I really wanted a curry. First impressions were not great as the interior has seen better days and the lighting was dim and yellow. However, things improved from here! The starters and main dishes were excellent and particularly tasty. Also, I cannot remember a time when I could get a bottle of the house White for £6.30! So, if you happen to be in Brecon, fancy a nice curry and can live with dubious décor, then give it a try.

My partner and I visited the restaurant on Monday, August 27, 2007. A notice on the door stated that the restaurant was open until midnight. We arrived at 10 p.m. and were told that it was about to close, so they could only offer a limited choice. We were not offered a drink. We chose a vegetarian dish which was not great but acceptable. By chance on the next day we met two other people who recognized us, and were interested in our experience. They said that they regularly eat at Indian restaurants, and that their meals had been poor. The worst for us was the visible lack of hygiene. The table next to us still had used dishes on it and a dirty table cloth. The waiter eventually removed the dishes but the dirty cloth remained. Ours was also not clean. We saw the waiter drying glasses with a dirty looking tea towel. There are nice restaurants in Brecon. This is not one of them. Don't go there!
