    Fresh and delicious

    Scarborough doesn't inspire confidence when you're looking for somewhere to eat out, so this was a delightful surprise.Unfussy decor and friendly, straightforward service. All the food was marked by a lightness, nothing stodgy or heavy-going.Garlic bread pizza starter had excellent tomato flavour, nothing ketchupy about it! Tagliatelle al Salmone was delicious and contained generous amounts of fish. The home-made creme brulee was excellent (once it had arrived from Gianni's home kitchen!).We would definitely go back.

    A tast of Italy

    Although not one of the town's biggest restaurants and situated just out of the town centre, this Italian is worth a try. The outside has the feel of somebody's house (apart from the colour scheme which cries Italy!) but the service and menu are great. I must confess to using this more as a replacement for cooking dinner than a proper evening out but don't confuse that for a comment on its quality. The seafood spaghetti is a particular favourite, as is the garlic bread with cheese (and chilli if you ask).If you go at teatime, there is a early bird menu that is fantastic value for money and from what I have observed, Gianni's is child friendly also. In summary, this isn't a classy night out restaurant but the food, service and cost are excellent....what more could you ask for?
