  I eat out a lot in Yorkshire, specifically Scarborough - florio's has become a real firm favourite of the family. A great place to eat with a buzz like no other. Service is always spot on. friendly and fun. Steaks & pizzas are perfection and the Penne Arrabbiata is something I have to enjoy every time. The kids love this restaurant.the children menu is fantastic and the bubble gum ice cream is a favourite. Rare are these days to find a restaurant where you feel totally at ease when dining out with young children. The going at florio's is easy so anything goes. And if you are having a birthday it is a must.Booking is essential as florios is a very busy place.

  The Best Food in Town!

  The garlic bread with tomato is fab. The pizzas are to die for. The pasta is fantastic and the desserts a must. The atmosphere is always great and it is a perfect place for a family meal with kids or a romantic meal for two! I can't recommend Florios enough.

  My three star rating is based on the whole dining experience, and not just the food and service. If there were a half star available, this would be a comfortable 3.5 instead of just a 3.Located in the centre of town, and probably more popular with locals than with tourists due to the appearance from the street, which makes the place look more unimpressive than it actually is.To begin with - the food and service were both very good. While Florios markets itself as an Italian restuarant, and so sells all the usual kinds of pizza, pasta and salad dishes which you expect to find, they also do a very nice line in steaks and other dishes. The peppercorn sauce I had with my steak was, quite honestly, the nicest I've ever tasted. The rest of my party also praised their food without reservation.Now to the bad points - the waiting area is TINY, and gets packed with people if more than a few are waiting for a table at any one time. As its also near the door, this creates a bit of a jam for people trying to get in or trying to get out. The drinks are the one thing which detract from the experience though - everything is in cans. Ask for a coke, you get a can of coke (and mine actually had 'mulitipack can - 45p' on the side despite the fact I was charged £1.80 for the honour) Ask for a beer - it'll be canned...and so on. They dont pour, they just give you the can and a glass. The wine list is suitable and adequate for a place such as this.The prices are perfectly acceptable (cans aside) and the service is friendly. Its just a shame that the little differences detract from the experience as with a little effort and thought this could be a five star restaurant.

  I live in Scarborough and discoverved Florios a couple of years ago. I am extremely glad i did as it is a wonderful restaurant that i now regularly visit. The food is wonderful (especially the starter course of garlic & tomato pizza!) and the staff are always friendly and willing to help. The thing i like best about Florios is that when visiting you can be dressed relaxed and casual, or indeed in all your best clothes! Whatever the occasion you are sure to have great food and a great time. I truly recommend it as the best italian restaurant in the area.
