The Little John is yorks only gay bar, the bar has loads of history with Dick Turpin, and is the third oldest pub. We have a very large range of spirits and beer, We have Karaoke on Thursday nights, We do 5 JagerBombs for only £7.50 (make it £1.50 each).     The owner is on a power trip, our drunk friend got attacked by him when he wouldn't leave so we were talking to him, saying we thought he was being way too aggressive, and then suddenly, it all turned ugly out of nowhere from him and he went for my female friend and was dragging her out of the bar by her hair, and i don't drink so don't worry i wasn't under the influence. it was horrible and i never want to see anything like that again and this place should receive the punishment it deserves.

    The Only Gay Bar In The Village (nearly)

    Unless you count the York Arms, the Littlejohn is the only "gay friendly" bar in York.Its recently had a makeover and looks more like a small nightclub.Theres a video jukebox and they have recently started doing (rather good) meals.Like most pubs in York it can be slightly dull during the day but almost too lively at night! Monday not much happens but Tuesday is Quiz Night and Thursday is karaoke.The owners are friendly and the crowd is usually great fun but on Saturdays it can get invaded by geezers (shaved head, shirt out of their trousers) or hen parties so I give it a miss. Sunday night is usually the busiest.

    Been there a few times. Staff are always friendly, the drinks are well priced and it's a nice little pub. I'd recommend it to anyone. Even been in with my straight mates and they like it.

    what a great 2 days i had on the thurday and the friday ( 16 n 17 oct) , If you want a great night out in york, little johns is the place to be, great staff caring and friendly, They have a fantaic juke box, reasonable priced drinks, kareoke is on a thursday night, if u think you can sing or not it dont matter because there is a prize to be won, you will have a great night out in little johns, my fav person in there is DOM he make you feel welcome but so do all the rest it made my 2days rememberable and cant wait to go back

    Just went to the Little John. Not from York, but a visitor to York and had a lovely time at the pub. The staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. Just want you'd want as a visitor to York.
