    Only for big buffet lovers
    business
if your's is for a fine dining, sedate and leisurely experience. Here is not the place. Everything is ordered buffet style. You'll find that the staff aren't really 'that bover'd' and it isn't that fresh either. However, good for families wanting a quick hit and large portions.Oh and the vino is absolutely terrible. Everything about Kapadokya says 'I can't be bothered'. Perhaps thats what Kapadokya means in turkish.

    Great Turkish in York centre
    business
I really enjoyed my meal at this restaurant and couldn't disagree more with the two reviews below. I have lived in various Turkish areas in London and have lots of friends from Turkey so I know the cuisine pretty well and have been known to whizz up a few dishes myself being a bit of a foodie. The meze were fresh and really tasty as were the mains and I really do think that the prices were reasonable for the portion sizes and the quality of the food. There was a decent selection of Turkish wines on offer too. Admittedly this wasn't the speediest service I have ever seen, but waiters in Turkish restaurants are rarely working on doublequick time - have you been to Turkey before?! On the other hand the staff are very friendly and personable and to be honest I have never been a fan of the irritating and over-attentive waiter. Relax, enjoy your meal, there's no rush! The perfect lively citycentre spot for a spot of good nosh with some pals and lots of chatting and vino.

Anyone for service within 3 hours?!
    business
I have been to Kapadokya twice, and have been very disappointed.I was looking forward to trying something a little bit different, maybe even a bit more authentic! But this was not to be!The menu looks ok, but when you taste the dishes you realise they are things you could easily make yourself at home, with a lot more flavour. It is not too expensive, maybe they can't afford herbs and spices or something!Anyway, the main problem is the service, or lack there of. Last time I went was for a friends birthday, not a particularly big group, maybe 8 or 10 of us, and we had pre booked. There were only 2 other people in the restaurant anyway! And by the time we had eaten our starters and main courses, we had been there 3 hours! That is how slow the service was. We waited an hour between courses too, just to add insult to injury!
