Welcome to WasteInkPads.com. We offer instant download software solutions to a range of Epson printer issues relating to waste ink pads. For more information on why the waste ink pad problem occurs, please read further below. The box below allows you to search for your printer or you can browse all available printers from our Select Printer page. If we do not list your printer, you will not be able to get our instant fix service, but please contact us and we will try to source your reset as soon as possible.
During a printers cleaning cycle it dispels ink from its nozzles and tubes down a waste pipe into an absorbent pad. The printer manufacturer has put a counter in your printer that counts every page that has ever passed through the printer, even blank pages! When the counter has reached a certain number the printer will shut down to prevent overflow of ink to the pads. Due to the different types of printing, the waste ink pads may be between 40% and 80% full before the printer stops working. Normally the printer will display the INK PAD error message:
“Waste ink pad in the printer is saturated"
“Parts inside your printer are at the end of their service life. See your printer documentation."
The error will remain for about 20 prints and then go into “limp" mode, where it will not print anything or give access to any other menu function. The ONLY way to make the printer work again is to use a waste ink pad reset.

After the Reset:
After the reset you can replace the ink pads, wash the ink pads or install a waste ink box.
New pads cost about £30 from the Manufacturer and the pads are usually very difficult to replace. They are located at the base of the printer and usually, everything needs to be removed to reach the pads.
Washing Ink Pads
Some printers such as the Artisan or PX/TX 700/800 have a panel under the printer and the pads are very easy to remove. After removal; you can wash the pads under plain, running, clean water(Do NOT use any chemicals!) Squeeze excess water and dry with a hair dryer. Result: New Pads!
Most printers have the ink pads at the base and are very difficult to remove and this is a job for a professional. Therefore, most people will install an external box to collect any further waste ink.
Within the printer, there is a tube that goes from the print head to the pads at the base of the printer. Instead of the tube going to the pads – you take the tube outside the printer(by extending it) and insert the tube into any small plastic container. Then, you could collect any further ink that is expelled. We do not sell the waste ink boxes. Most of the sellers will provide full fitting instructions.
When you buy a reset program from this site, you are purchasing a piece of software that allows your computer to communicate with your printer Waste Ink Counter (WIC) and will reset the counter that is causing the fault condition. The program is downloaded immediately after you have completed the purchase. The downloaded file will be a ZIP or RAR file. Once you extract the file contents, you will have a number of files included. The most important files are the detailed instructions. If you open and read these carefully before you start, you are unlikely to have any difficulties using the reset programme. If you are in a rush and decide not to read the instructions you may well cause yourself unnecessary problems. The WIC Utility is a free download and you pay for a key to use the reset. It is available in PC and Apple Mac format. Unlike all the other resets, sold on this site, the WIC Utility can only be used once. Each time you need to reset the printer, you will have to get another key. However, when a reusable reset becomes available for a particular model – then the WIC reset will be withdrawn (for that model) and replaced with a reusable reset.
To purchase the reset program please select your printer, make payment, and download immediately! When you have purchased the reset you can have your printer working within a few minutes! The download will enable you to reset your printer. If you have any problems, please refer to the comprehensive help files attached to the download. If you still encounter problems please use the ‘Contact us' function and we will be pleased to assist you. Once your printer has been reset please leave comments to aid other users. The reset can be used repeatedly. This means that you can reset your printer as many times as you wish, even if the printer has not stopped working. The program resets (to zero) a digital counter, within a chip, inside the printer. So the printer will start to work again! You can use the program to reset your printer again, as many times as you wish. You do not need to wait for the printer to stop working. You can reset at any time.
There is an element of skill required to use these resets. However, we cannot teach you all the skills to use a computer and therefore you will need some basic skills. You will have to know, how to download a file and copy it to your computer, Unzip or Unrar files, open, move, copy, rename files or make folders. If you are unable to do these basic things on your computer; then this reset is NOT suitable for you, unless you have someone who can help you with these tasks. Please read and follow all instructions, included within the download and any help files. Most people have no problems with the reset. When they do have problems it is usually a user error and has been covered in the help files. If you still have a problem, please let us know, stating the version of Windows, the exact error message and the steps taken before the error. Some Corporations do not like you to reset your printer. Therefore, they have sought to (falsely) have these files declared as Trojan or Virus files. In this case, you may have to (temporarily) disable your antivirus / anti spyware software, to use these resets.
Warning: ONLY purchase these resets from a reputable supplier! There are many free resets that ARE infected with Viruses and Trojans to discourage/prevent people from resetting their printers!
Before starting the reset procedure, please count the number of files in your folder and see if you have the same number as in the original zipped file. If a file is missing; please replace from the original compressed file. (Antivirus or Antispyware programs could delete a single file – leaving the reset unusable.)
IMPORTANT!!.......MAC users can only use a single-use, WIC version of the reset.
We always try and sell REUSABLE RESETS. - However, when there is no reusable reset available - we have no choice but to sell you a single-use, reset known as the WIC Utility. Therefore, some printer models with a "WIC", after the model name, will be single-use resets.
