they turn up without notice,, the attitude off them is terrible,, things dont get fixed after being told on several occasions, called out an engineer as they stated we have inadequate heating but 1 stop have not replied to the engineer,, i cant wait to find a new place for my family as i cant cope with the stress anymore of this!!

AVOID THIS COMPANY I moved out of my property in June 2009, and i still haven't received all of my bond. They charged me for cleaning when the house was spotless. They charged me for rubbish removal when the house was a building site. They charged me for missing things that were mine. They charge new tenants a 'holding fee' even if the current tenants arranged the new tenent themselves. They charge, they charge, they charge. If you try and get your money back, Roberta will feed you very convincing excuses for months (its now mid October) as to why she cant give you money back just yet. AND, if you are lucky enough to have some money paid back, it will be in small amounts like £20. Then you are back to square one getting her to send more. She does this in the hope that you will get bored and leave it. I wont. I write this in the hope that she will try and sue me for slander, as this may be the only way I'll see my money again - there is no way in hell her arguments would stand up in court. I have an A4 page of 1stop's incompetence and fraudulent behavior.

I am an existing tenant of the company who has had more than one property with them and I have always found their service to be been of a great standard. I was left feeling very satisfied and comfortable with all tranistions and I'm in a situation now where the company may have to find me a new property again. All the stress and the burden of having to up-root my family has been lifted off my shoulders, usually I would worry, but I have no doubt that they will acheive their goal - as always. On all properties I have resided in have had a fair few maintenance issues which were rectified not long after I occupied the properties. I would recommend this company as all staff are friendly, effiecent and they make you feel comfortable, however your situation may be.

Firstly- the new law that has come in place since Apr 07 is that all deposit must be protected under a tenancy deposit scheme- mine howevere wasn't, after leaving the property in Oct 07 (moved in May 07) a dispute arose about the deposit- i took it to the scheme but low and behold has no certificate given- it took them 7 months to get the number then once ringing to raise this dispute i found out they had protected it from 07 May '2008' and it had not been protected during the time i was a tenant with thier property- they had only put in for protection 7months after leaving because i kept calling for the number (ended up lying for why i needed it) DO NOT GO THERE (USELESS) This business should be shut- they have no-one that will have a positive comment about them!

They didnt pay me my deposit which is now going to the courts as they didnt protect it with a scheme (which is illegal from Apr 07) and my tenancy started May07' they were absolutley useless in resolving anything and treated me like S****. NEVER use them- go to StudentBIZ or an agency which will follow common law!

On leaving the property I showed them 2 things that we had damaged....without us knowing they 'supposedly' had workmen to do the 'repairs'..we found out that they had not been done but we had been charged £85 for 2 cracked tiles and fixing a new curtain holder onto the wall. Went to solicitor and got immediate refund! Very bad attitude of owners especially when making appointments to visit us and not turning up..even when we had vacated property and they knew that we had to meet them there..was told 'sorry she is still away on holidays'..um thanks for letting us know as we had waited in the freezing cold for 1 hour! Would never let from them again!
