From January 2019 every new installation will need to comply with the latest version of the IET wiring regulations BS7671 also known as the 18th Edition.

Additionally it is understood that all new applications for competent person schemes and ECS applicants will require this new qualification.

The 18th Edition is designed primarily for practising electricians with relevant experience and other allied professionals e.g. surveyors, consultants and trade persons looking to enhance their career with an understanding of the IET wiring regulations.

It is also suitable for anyone wishing to demonstrate and understanding of the IET wiring regulations BS7671.
