About

About A2E First Aid Training
A2E First Aid Training is a small professional training company offering a personal service. We provide training for small businesses/organisations and schools as well as for individuals on open courses. All our trainers are passionate about sharing their first aid skills and helping learners to become good first aiders.

A2E First Aid Training is an approved ITC Centre offering a range of ITC certified courses suitable for work or play, including Emergency First Aid at Work, Outdoor First Aid, Sport First Aid and Paediatric courses.

Our courses are fun, friendly, contextualised to your environment and above all highly practical. They are delivered by experienced professional trainers, chosen not only for their first aid knowledge but on their enthusiasm and ability to engage learners.

Our open courses are mostly in Shropshire and the Midlands but we can run courses for your group anywhere in England or Wales.

ITC First is an Awarding Organisation regulated by Ofqual and SQA Accreditation. Because A2E First Aid Training offers regulated courses through ITC First you do not have to carry out a due diligence check on us - you can be guaranteed that all the standards set by HSE are met.

A2E First Aid Training was set up by Cara Allison
Cara Allison

Cara is an experienced trainer, qualified teacher and has a background in environmental and outdoor education. She is also a keen mountain walker and caver.

She has had many years experience of leading field courses and expeditions in the UK and abroad thus she appreciates the need to be able to deal with first aid incidents in both urban and more remote locations.

Having renewed her first aid qualifications every three years for the past couple of decades- she felt it was time to progress to actually delivering first aid courses. She chose to train through ITC as ITC first aid courses are the only ones she has found to be fun, practical and relevant; and to focus on first aid skills rather than theory, thus giving the confidence to deal with real emergency situations. Cara has been delivering ITC first aid training courses since 2009.

When not delivering first aid courses Cara works freelance as an outdoor instructor, Duke of Edinburgh trainer and overseas expedition leader. She is also actively involved in a number of conservation organisations and has worked as a freelance ecologist. Cara is a member of Midlands Cave Rescue.

Associate Trainers
Our professional trainers are all accredited by the Awarding Body ITC First and undergo rigorous training and ongoing monitoring and assessment. They follow the latest European and UK guidelines and attend regular standardization events. All our trainers are fully DBS checked.

Robin has been a First Aider since the early 90's when he was employed in an engineering company. Now, after leaving the Engineering sector, he works in the outdoors and has developed those first aider skills into becoming a first aid trainer. Robin still works with Duke of Edinburgh groups and overseas expedition groups; but now the focus of his work is on delivering quality first aid training.

A great, well presented First Aid course. The mix of theory, practicals and outdoor scenarios was excellent. It really gave you confidence that you would be able to deal with things correctly in an emergency. Keep up the good work Cara.
