Our Cars
For 6 Passengers we use the Ford Galaxy MPV.
These come with reclining seats and air conditioning .
For 4 Passengers we use a mixture of Ford Mondeo 2 litre hatchback and VW Passat's these carry four persons with luggage. All cars are air conditioned and are in radio contact with the office. All cars are registered with the local Horsham District Council under licence No 031. Before drivers are issued with their individual Private Hire or Hackney Carriage Licence they have to pass a Knowledge test of the local area and are also checked by the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) for any criminal activities which could make them unsuitable to be a Taxi Driver. As a company policy they also have to pass a knowledge test to insure that they have a reasonable knowledge of London and a general knowledge of the English countryside. Since 2008 drivers are now studying for either BTec or NVQ in Passenger Road Transport. To date two have passed both and all others are in the process of acquiring them.

The most stressfull day of my life
I have used ABC taxi Horsham in the past and found them perfectly fine, and very good service. So I booked them again to take us to the airport on the 30th of July to take me and my partner to Gatwick - pick up 4am as I live fairly close and check in closed at 5am. When I rang the day or two days beforehand (I can't remember which) the line was crackly and I could hardly hear a thing. The man at the end of the phone, um'ed and er'ed as to if he could do 4am on a Saturday morning, but then after a while said this would be fine. Because the line was so bad, I had to repeat my address several times and he never asked for a name in which the booking was to be taken. The day before we left, I called them again to double check that when I said 4am Saturday I meant 'Friday night' and not Saturday night and also wanted to check they had the right address etc. The same man on the end of the line said that it was fine and he had us booked for 3.50am. 3.50am came and no taxi, so thought ok, it will come at 4....4am no taxi. We waited till 4.05 and then thought, 'well we will call to see if it is on it's way'. Called...straight to answers phone! When I had rang previously he had called back from a mobile number, so I called that...straight to the same voice mail. At 4.17 we suddenly realised that we had just under 45 mins till check in closed. We rushed to the car and had the worse experience of my life! After getting to the airport, waiting for the bus, running through the South terminal in which my partner dropped something out of his bag, which now turns out to be his camera, I nearly fainted when we got to check in, which we made just as it closed (luckily a little bit later then expected at 5.20 as we rang ahead to tell them of our situation). Just come home to a nice airport parking fee of £94, lost camera which cost £170 and generally having the worst start to our holiday, it is safe to say I would never recommend this taxi service to anyone! (Even when I tried several other taxi companies in the Horsham area at 4.10am they couldn't believe that A - no one had turned up and B- that no one was answering the phone!)
