A local family business established over 140 years ago, continues to develop new services.
McPherson's, founded by the great grandfather of the present owner Bill Knox offers their customers a wide range of plumbing and building products from a nail to complete kitchens and bathrooms. A supply only or supply and fit service is available with free design. The front counter staff of Morag, John and Mark, Bill's son – law, are able to provide advice on a wide range of plumbing and building matters.
Sanitary ware is sourced from major companies such as Ideal Standard, Roca and Carron. Quality is paramount, while still providing value for money.
Complete bathrooms suites start from £299 and can usually be supplied from stock.
We also stock Alliance and Eastbrook bathroom products which are high quality products at an affordable price, and include shower valves and kits, towel rails and bathroom furniture.
Kitchens are supplied by a major British manufacturer who provides a unique back up service to the installer.
A free local delivery service is available for larger items such as gutters and pipes as well as kitchens and bathrooms.
McPherson's are the major stockist in the area of a wide range of pipes and gutters in different profiles and colours, manufactured by FloPlast, Brett Martin and Polypipe. Many of the major stockist can't match the range of sizes and colours available in our store.
McAlpine, traps and waste fittings manufactured in Glasgow are kept to plumb-in every item from a washing machine to a complete bathroom.
Ever-Build and Bond-it chemicals are stocked to repair roofs, clear drains and clean PVC sheets.
Central heating boilers, radiators, pumps and treatment fluids are also supplied with free local delivery of major items.
Ariel plastic roofing sheets for canopies and garages in many profiles can be provided, along with rooflights and Mardome flexible tunnel lights.
The stock includes many items such as tools, screws, plumbing fittings and even cast iron gutters.
