Disappointing

I ordered a cab for 8.30 a.m. a month ago to take me to Staines bus station as I was catching a feeder coach to Watford with Shearings. At 8.32 a.m. I called the office to make sure it was on its way and was told that it would be 10 mins late. 15 minutes later - still no cab. Rang the office and was diverted??? Rang again and was told the cab would be there at 9.00 a.m. My connecting coach was due at 9.20 a.m. and we had to be there 10 mins before and bearing in mind the traffic can be busy on a Monday morning. The young receptionist did not even apologise and just said 'I only answer the phone'. Luckily my daughter was able to drop me into town and I caught the coach by the skin of my teeth. (We actually passed the cab at the top of the road for which I did have the courtesy to advise Abbey it would no longer be required!). My holiday could have been ruined. I do appreciate that cabs can be late it was just the whole attitude of the company. I have used Abbey/Checker for more years than I can remember but NEVER AGAIN!! Very very poor customer service with not even a apology! Prices are good. Service not.
