I visited this restaurant last night for a friends birthday, 15 of us travelled 30 mins to this restaurant only to have the worst meal we have ever had! We waited far to long for each course which was brought out staggered so one person had finished before the last person even had their food. The main courses were not cooked how we requested and some had to be sent back. The chips were oven cooked rather than deep fried as stated in the menu. Overall the service and food were both extremely poor!

Comical!
This place is hilarious. My partner and I booked it for our anniversary dinner because we wanted steak, and we wanted somewhere easy and not at all fancy. That's what we got but we didn't expect the level of hilarity!The food is really average, but even that had us chuckling because what is on offer on the menu is so, so 70s - the decor matches this (tartan wallpaper no less) and is a wonder to behold! The steak really should be better considering it is a steak house, but I can't help but forgive it for all the average cuisine because the service is so sweet and entertaining. The Maitre de we were greeted by was ancient and dressed in a full tux, and was very friendly and funny. The waiter was also very friendly and funny and accommodating - the best moment being when he brought over a pink carnation at the end of the meal for 'the lady'. I don't know, maybe I just have a strange sense of humour and a good evening out. I wouldn't go here for top nosh, I wouldn't even go regularly. But if you're hungry, in the area and fancy a giggle, this is a pretty sure bet.
