Awful Amtrak

On Monday my wife received an unannounced visit from a representative of the couriers Amtrak saying that he had come to collect a package. Having received no prior warning or knowledge of the impending visit, she was unable to assist. The Amtrak representative was rude and offhand with her, which led her to call me directly in London, where I was on business for the day. Further enquiries from myself to Amtrak revealed that the required package was in fact papers for transmission to London, and I arranged for the Amtrak representative to re-attend. The Amtrak representative duly re-attended yesterday morning just after 11 a.m. but announced that he could not accept custody of the papers as they were inadequately packed. When asked what would constitute adequate packaging, he could not or would not enlighten me. I again offered to do what I could to adequately package the papers if he would re-attend again today, and he agreed to come at roughly the same time this morning. He was again offhand and rude, this time to myself, and I have mentioned this to the courier depot in Bridgwater. I spent some time this morning preparing the papers as best I could, and I trust adequately, for transit. As yet (1620) the Amtrak representative has not re-appeared. awful - don't use under any circumstances!
