Making Tax Digital (MTD)

From April 2018 certain businesses will need to start reporting quarterly to HMRC under the new reporting framework called Making Tax Digital. This will place added pressures to collate information and submit it to HMRC within one month of the quarter end. However, this can also be an opportuinty to update systems and procedures to enable accurate information to be prepared and assist with managing your business. Bookkeeping and payroll

As a business owner, you have an obligation to maintain proper accounting records. However, this is often a task which is put to one side. A bookkeeping system can be designed to suit your needs, whether you want to do a bit yourself, or have nothing to do with it at all! It is worth considering a move to a cloud-based computerised bookkeeping package, such as Sage One, Xero, Quickbooks or similar. This has the advantage that the system can be accessed wherever you are. Items can be processed on site or from my offices.

Payroll is becoming evermore complex, especially with Auto Enrolment responsibilities. Take the hassle and worry away from calculating employees pay and assessing them for Pension contributions.
