After ordering from Harveys furniture was advised of a Friday delivery at any time during that day. They called twenty minutes prior to arriving which was lucky as we were in. The dining table and chairs were left on our doorstep and we were pressed to sign for receipt of goods. When the driver left we opened one box to discover the wrong items. Harveys reordered and it was discovered that Harkers had put the wrong chairs on the delivery van. Then they arranged to deliver after 515 on a Wednesday and confirmed this in two phone calls - yesterday whilst having another day booked off from work it was clear by 1830 that nobody was coming and nobody had phoned us. Spoke to Harveys and it is being investigated, with no initial thoughts or feedback as to where my chairs are. Harveys - get a new distribution company - these are dire!!!

Will I ever get my furniture?

Like the previous two comments, I ordered furniture from Harvey's. I stressed that because of work commitments I could only receive delivery on Mondays or Fridays - and was unhelpfully told that neither of these days would be possible for my area. After much wrangling over the next two weeks, I was finally promised delivery on Bank Holiday Monday - which I said was fine - we had been going away that day but decided to put off our trip by a day. Delivery could have been any time between 8 am and 8 pm - and we were finally contacted at 7.30 pm to say that the driver was nowhere near us, had run out of driving hours and would therefore deliver the following day! I said that there was no point as there would be nobody in - we would be away for the next few days, and would now require delivery on a Friday, Saturday or Monday. I was told that deliveries were not made to Nottingham on those days and they were therefore unable to help me. It's now up to me (apparently!) to contact them again to make further arrangements. I don't consider this any form of customer service at all other than appalling!!!! I still don't have my furniture or any idea when I will receive it. Will be contacting Harveys and suggest that they cease using this company before they lose customers themselves. I certainly won't use Harveys again because of the delivery problems. Steer clear!

like the previous reviewer, I too received faulty furniture from Harveys delivered by Harkers. After waiting 6 weeks on a replacement, I discovered that Harkers had not even ordered one despite my notes on the order form. I was promised a call back the following week to arrange delivery. When that didn't happen I called to discover that yet again Harkers had not ordered any replacement and there was no record of my call. They have now ordered it they say. Harveys must bear some of the burden.

Harker's Customer Service....

1. I ordered 2 pieces of furniture a display unit (2 piece) and a sideboard from Harveys Furniture. It was to be delivered by Harker's Transport. 2. Awaiting delivery of the display unit to Cornwall I was told to expect 1 hour's notice of delivery. I received half that and they then left without contacting me. The customer service was appalling blaming me for not being there to receive the goods. My wife arrived exactly 30 mins after the call and tried to contact the driver but they had gone back to Sunderland (467 miles away) and would not return. 3. After waiting another couple of weeks they then delivered with 30 mins notice again. Luckily I was in, but the furniture was damaged on arrival. They left the faulty furniture and returned to Sunderland to order replacements. 4. 1 month later they delivered what I was told was my sideboard. On arrival I was informed that it was a replacement for the display unit. Even though it was the sideboard I had originally ordered they refused to leave it and after unpacking it, repacked it and returned to Sunderland. I was told that they had already delivered the sideboard on the previous occasion and that it was reported as faulty (not the display unit). Despite the drivers knowing that they had not delivered the sideboard, again customer help, which they take great pride in according to there, grammatically shocking, website, were little to no help - insisting that I had the sideboard in my possession. The fiasco continues??
