Customers are an inconvience to this pub, especially the manager who seems to work in the kitchen. They argue with the customers and have a vendetta against children. Hardly a family friendly pub. Beer garden smells of urine and the whole place needs a good clean. Dont go....

Old fashioned food like your nanna used to make.

Anne Arms feels like it hasn't changed since the middle ages, with a rabbits warren of small interconnected rooms, dark wood furniture and 'olde worlde' nik naks and pictures. And the food is in keeping with this 'if it aint't broke don't fix it' attitude, the menu is simple and traditional, with carvery being the favoured dish for most regulars. The veg is, shall we say well cooked, with not an al dente in sight, and the taties are plentiful and generally piled high. If you like your fayre traditional, and hanker after a Sunday lunch like your nanna used to cook, provided your nanna was a typical Yorkshire lass, you probably can't go wrong here.
