I could sense something wasn't right when the caller wanted to approve my care home without first visiting. Hmmm, i thought. Then she said she only wanted two homes in my area. Having carried out my research by telephoning the company and speaking to (Adele), my suspicions was confirmed. Glad they are no longer in business.

This company has just had the nerve to try to invoice us for an automatic renewal which we had no knowledge of....... They never provided one of the services promised....we provided the write up, the photos for their website, the web address. When we complained we were ignored. Now they are trying to fleece us for another £500. I am not paying them..... they are just stealing from hard working people. The salesman was very convincing, obviously all lies...about how his friend set up the company when he was looking for a care home for his elderly frail mother and how together they started off....how we were just the kind of home they were looking for...He never even walked around or saw the rooms, never questioned our staff so what was he approving..total fraud.....just wanted to sign the contract at get the money...like idiots we fell for it thinking he would be coming back to carry out his inspection..not only did we not get a single referral but we never heard from the company again until they send us an invoice a year later for the renewal contract.....seriously???? AVOID AVOID AVOID the stars had to be filled in order to process this review

We're a small domiciliary Opticians who rely on care homes to call us to book an eye test. I got a call from Approved care home one day pretending that they are looking for an Opticians to look after their homes. I got a visit from them on June 2012 for which I thought was an interview to see if we are good enough to look after their homes. He signed me up promising that we would get business from care homes and that he will be sending adverts to at least 10 care homes in my area and he will send me contact number for them so I can ring up to get business from them. I stupidly signed up and I heard nothing from them until this July (2013).They have send me am invoice asking for more money saying I haven't cancelled the contract and contract is auto renewing. I tried to cancel at this point but they said it's too late. Now I'm ending up with a letter from a debt collection agency called UKDebtEnforcementAgency who are threatening to sue. I was thinking of paying just to get them off my back. Then I tried to cancel for next year and I seem to be running into diffilculties. Apprently they haven't received my special delivery letter for cancellation that I've sent. They must still be in business as I can still call them. I did ask where they are to be sure and they said they are still in 132 Highfield Road, FY42HH. So I don't know why the lady in previous post (sandy Carter) was unable to recover her money from them using bailiff. They are a nasty company who pray on hard working businesses.I am contemplating my next move.I am so embarrassed to have fallen for their scam and angry to have lost so much money. Please learn from my mistakes.Do not get involved with this company. Any comments/ advice welcome. my e-mail is: yourhomeopticians@gmail.com

Approved Care Home Scam

Yes approved care homes is an Absolute scam. They con small company out of hard earn money. This is how their scam works. First they'll call you by saying do you want to sell your services to our care homes. They then ask you to pay money to place an advert. Which is a total waste of money because they don't own any care homes and it's a small advert which they say they send out to about 10 homes And you get stinged twice if you forget to cancelled the contract because they say it's auto renewal.I've lost over £800!!! DO NOT DEAL WITH APPROVED CARE HOME CROOKS. AVOID THEM LIKE A PLAGUE

Have also been caught out by these crooks. We're a small family building business and we were contacted by this group who signed us up as 'preferred contractors' to care homes in our area. Absolute con. We have pursued them through the courts for our money back to their registered address in Blackpool. According to the bailiffs they have ceased trading and no-one knows where they are. We have lost over £500 to these scum, which is a lot of money to us. We now have nowhere else to go to recover our money. We've learnt an expensive lesson. Obviously reading the other reviews this was not a one off and Trading Standards should investigate and prosecute so that other unsuspecting hard working people don't get caught out. Shame on you.

This company is a scam. They do not actually provide any service. They make a charge for services that they dont provide and later say that the service was a small ad.

We are a financial services company that were looking for new ways of attracting clients so looked into care homes. Kevin Rogan was the man who came to see us & signed us up. Our scenario is pretty much the same as the one's above in that they promosed us everything & delivered nothing. Our scenario is like Rajan's as we've been harrassed by them for money, with them threatening to sue us & have paid them money to get off our backs but after reading these comments we're regretting paying them.

Major Scam-what to do next?

I have also been a victim of a gentleman call Philip Eve in London. He approached our pharmacy in december 12. He wanted us to be 'approved suppliers' of medicines for people in homes of the TW3/TW4/TW5 region. He guranteed me 180 referrals or my money back. I am determined to get my money back as they have not honoured thier side of the contract and the gentleman from the company has not been contactable since. I have also read the 12 month notice to cancel and have already e-mailed the company to terminate the contract. I may notify the pharmacuetical society of this scam and perhaps other papers. Any ideas from where to go from here? 16/07/13Hi guys, I may be taking this company to court if they demand any money from me. I would appreciate it if you could e-mail me your experience after the first meeting with ACH, what they promised and what the scam was and who was responsible. I may need this as possible evidence, and I may be reporting them to watchdog, but only with your help. Please e-mail me @ shah.fpr10@nhs.net. Thanks

Unfortunately we appear to be one of Danny's victims. My partner has a butcher's shop and Danny did a very convincing hard sell about how we would get to supply a group of local care homes. We paid £456 to have an ad in the supplier's directory last August; since then we have heard nothing, and calls, emails and registered letters requesting the return of our money have had no response. I'm currently in discussion with Trading Standards as to how best to take this further. Please learn from our mistake and avoid this company like the plague!

Beware All Pharmacies from these scammers!!

I recently had a visit from one of the salespersons from approved care homes called Danny Johnson. They wanted us to be 'approved suppliers' of medicines for the people they refer for an admin fee of £400 + VAT per postcode we select to cater. He even 'guaranteed' me at least 350+ patients every year from each postcode I select or my money back! when it sounds too good to be true it generally is. when he removed a copy of contract, i realised straight away it was a scam! the contract paper and it terms and conditions speak nothing about the company or work they do. it is meant for a lousy advert in their lousy magazine! when I quizzed him on that he said, its illegal for them to charge for referrals hence it was worded for the advert. And guess what, the contract is final and binding and you cant cancel it. it also requires 12 months notice to cancel otherwise it rolls over automatically. That day Danny boy would have bend backwards to get my cheque but I told him it was game over and showed him the door. But he showed me the cheques from other pharmacies in my area who had been conned. I hope other service providers read this before they are fooled.

Approved Care Homes - Total Scam!

Service

Quality

Care homes and local businesses beware! These charlatans claim to be a placement agency, finding occupants for care homes when in fact they roam the country taking their money, only for the care homes never to hear from them again, let alone find a resident. They also target businesses, claiming to have had several meetings with the care home owners to find out what services they would find useful in a lever arch directory they were producing to be left in the care homes for ease of use. Once again, ACH disappear with suppliers' money and either do not produce a directory at all or cobble together something cheap and nasty, which is of no interest to anyone at all.
