RIP OFF GARAGE - AVIOD
I booked my car in for a service and MOT on a Saturday, thinking that seeing as the car is only a couple of years old and minimal mileage, it should sail through. After advising the car would be ready later that day, I phoned the office and after several attempts and a good hour later, was advised the car wasn't ready to collect and would be available Monday. This had a massive impact as I work up and down the M1 and have a small child to take to school. When I advised them I needed my car, I believe I was speaking with the owner, his attitude was rude, curt and more or less told me to like it or lump it and put the phone down on me. I'm guessing that the guy doesn't like women much, especially if he's challenged by one! Monday came and I eventually got a call advising me that I needed new discs and pads. So after agreeing to get them done, picked up the car along with a hefty charge and thought no more of it. A month or so later my brakes started squeaking so I took my car to a local garage near me and they told me that cheap pads had been put on and the discs had not been replaced and were warped causing the squeaking noise. DO NOT USE THESE RIP OFF MERCHANTS as they probably get their parts from the scrap yard and the staff are young and seem to have no customer service or mechanical skills whatsoever. AVOID!!

They claim to have done work and fitted parts they have not. They take much longer and do not return calls and lie when you speak to them. After taking my sons car they claimed to have fitted re-con fuel injectors, they had not as proved by Halfords in Arnold who did replace. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!

BAD,BAD,BAD GARAGE
DO NOT go anywhere near Arnold garage! I took my van in after breaking down, they were supposed to sort it at the weekend and ended up keeping it for 3 weeks. (Most of the time it was at the bottom of the carpark collecting pigeon poo). I had to keep going down and seeing how far they had got with it otherwise it would have been 3 months, not 3 weeks. I even ended up having to order the part myself and getting it delivered to the garage as they kept saying the part they had ordered was 'on quote' but nothing was happening! It took me 2 hours to get it ordered, paid for and delivered!!! After they had replaced the new part they told me the van was 'running perfect'. The next day my van didn't start and I had to manually pump the fuel through to start it. It was leaking oil, fuel and water all day and at the end of the day my van broke down again and had to be towed to the garage the next morning. ( They couldn't pick it up as their recovery vehicle had no tax on it!!!) They said they would sort it that day. Having collected it 4 days later they said it was running ok. Having left my van overnight on my driveway there was another pool of oil, fuel and water. I decided to take it to another garage and they explained that the van was a mess and the fuel injector pipes were cut and leaking fuel, an injector was fractured, water bottle was split, bolts not tightened so causing oil leak etc. I emailed the owner twice regarding my complaint but being the unprofessional garage that it is, he never got back to me. The customer service is non existant. Every time I spoke to them it was either excuses or lies, they didn't phone back when they said they would and if you rang the garage they didn't answer most of the time. Non of the staff (youngsters) ever knew when the managers were going to be in to sort your problem out. They have a 'don't care' attitude! I do not recommend this garage at all so be warned!!!

Avoid at all costs!
I took my car down to them for a simple slow puncture on one of the tyes, something which I know is not a big job. Took it in first thing Saturday morning and was told they would do it straight away, as I needed the car ASAP. Got a call an hour and a half later asking "Which tyre was it again mate?", upon repeating for the third time which tyre it was, I was then told that they had removed the wrong tyre.... Two and a half hours later I go down to the garage only to find my car sat out the front, window open, keys in and the ignition on with my radio blaring out. Where were the employees? In the back of the garage where they could not even see my car! Okay... so went inside and asked what was happening with my car; they then proceeded to tell me they were awaiting glue. Even I know that you don't use glue to fix a puncture on a car tyre! At this point I took the car from the garage as it was obvious that they beyond useless, but after inspecting the tyres I then realised that the cable ties were still on the wheel trims, so how could they have removed the tyres? They had obviously been telling me complete lies as well! Took it down to Daybrook Tyres and within 2 minutes he had located the puncture, but as it was so close to the sidewall I needed a new tyre - so why were Arnold Garage awaiting glue?! Nobody knows! Avoid this garage at all costs!

Great Garage
Arnold Garage was recomened to me by a friend and now we always go there as we get simply great service - reasonable prices and no nonsense. Garages we have visited in the past seem to try and con us to get things done that just don't need doing. The people at Arnold Garage can be trusted to do the work and not to try and sell you something that doesn't need doing - We have used them for 4 years and won't be going anywhere else!

superb service and people
I have used Arnold Garage for the past 11 years. Why? They offer a brilliant, reliable, truthful service. You get excellent value for money. They're always happy to go just that little bit further. They are professional, competent engineers who seem to really enjoy delivering an outstanding service. I moved 160 miles away from Nottingham a few years ago and still know it's worth bringing my car back (and my wife's and son's) time after time. Brilliant.

Absolute Life Savers
Im new to this reviewing of places i visit, but i feel i have to say a big thank you to everybody at Arnold Garage, i have been driving for over 40 years and i dread anything going wrong with my car. After a recommendation from a friend i used Arnold Garage for the first time and i can only say that they will have a customer for life in me. I believe Customer Service is a dieing art, However the people that dealt with me were nothing short of fantastic. I would just like to extend my gratitude to everybody there, and i urge anybody that is looking for a great garage, to use Arnold Garage. Thanks again guys.

I would like to say a massive thank you to all the team at Arnold Garage for all the work carried out on my car.I am so grateful as i don't know any other garage that would have gone to the lengths of what you all have for me First class garage!!!!! .Even when i was stuck without a car as my car had to stay at your garage as it needed further diagnostics you kindly lent me a car to use until mine was ready, this was really appreciated. Nothing is too much trouble for you guys . I have often popped my car down to you without an appointment and you have just helped me out but without compromising any other work you were carrying out for other customers . I have used your garage for a few years now and will continue to do so as well as recommending you to people as i have done in the past and i know they were just as pleased with the work and service as i am with you guys. Once again thank you!!!!
