Give this a try - for consistently well-flavoured and well-cooked food.We have now eaten here a number of times and never been disappointed. We're always greeted with a smile, the service is excellent and quick, as is the food, and on leaving someone always holds the door open for you.The decor is the only potential downside - quite modern in a dated sort of way - with lots of glass and brushed steel. The partitioning adds privacy but can make it feel a little cramped. The takeaway is collection only - and parking in front of the restaurant is very limited. ON the positive side we never order popadoms - but they always include them. It's slightly tucked out of the way in Colchester (near St Botolphs rail station) and is the sister restaurant of the Alishan (closer to town).

Have eaten here many times and every meal has been excellent, all the staff are extremely friendly and look after you well. It is lovely to have to door openend for you when you leave, even go a rose on valentines day. Service and food couldnt be better, a credit to the owner.

We visited because we have a discount booklet for a few restaurants in the Colchester area.Fantastic service and food, very very tasty dishes! The only let down was the atmosphere, music very quite and tables quite close, however it did not spoil the evening. Well worth a visit, if you can get parked!
