WARNING: DON'T BE FOOLED BY INITIAL PROFESSIONALISM - these guys treat their tenants appallingly. They clearly value their landlords far greater than their tenants. The worst agents we've ever had. As soon as we had signed, the problems started: Cleaning and resolving some initial faults was not performed before we started our lease despite the agents promises They never pick up the phone or return calls to tenants Reported issues are never fully resolved. Some are reviewed by an external maintenance supplier, but as soon as they need permission from Asset, no further work is performed as Asset don't ever get round to approving it. Many cases are not followed up at all. We had maintenance issues (such as broken extractor fans, towel rails disconnected, microwave not working, blinds broken) still outstanding 19m after we first moved in despite reporting them repeatedly and to the interim inspection team. They then tried to charge us for unpaid renewal fees and extortionate cleaning costs from our deposit, despite this poor service and the fact we left it spotless and it wasn't clean when we moved in. Their approach to settling the deposit has been aggressive. We are considering legal action. Avoid Asset Residential at all costs.
