Value

The quotation did not say how long my bathroom would take to be completed. It took 14 working days. There was mostly only one man on the job. I was somewhat frustrated by the glacial speed involved. The electrician was incompetant, wiring up the shower pump incorrectly and had to be recalled. Overall the quality of the work was adequate, but not top notch. Communications with the office was fine, but getting anyone senior to visit the job was hard work. Overall, an uninspiring company.

On the 23rd Dec our heating stopped working, we looked in our local rated directories which was advertised as emergency 24/7 call out & thought we would try this company as one of their numbers was local to us in Kings Heath, they said someone would be round that day between 3& 6 pm I asked if they would definitely be able to come that day as I was concerned knowing the next day would be early closing due to it being Xmas eve. They said yes! I had said otherwise I would try elsewhere! After waiting that afternoon for someone to arrive the phone went between 5 & 5.30 to say it would be the next day now before he could make it between 8am to midday I said ok, with it being Xmas eve that morning we did need to go out on the odd errand, we had to take it in turns to wait in, after waiting all morning and midday had arrived I decided to ring to see why no one had arrived yet, to be told the guy had rung the company early that morning to say he was not going into work that day! They hadn't even bothered to let us know & had kept us waiting all morning for nothing, I would have had more respect for this company if they had said in the first place they could not guarantee they could get someone out to us before Xmas, They had just left us high and dry. Fortunately a friend had a relative who he said might be able to help, he came out within hours and was able to get our C.H working so that we wasn't left with a cold Christmas with no thanks to them

I worked for this company for 3 weeks, I completed 3 jobs and was not paid by this company for the work I did. despite getting signed satisfaction sheets from the clients. I should have known that ASTERISK WERE DODGY WHEN I WENT TO BUY SOME MATERIALS FROM JEWSON IN BIRMINGHAM, AND WAS TOLD THAT ASTERISK HADNT PAID THERE LAST BILL. COMPANY SHOULD BE RENAMED "ARE A RISK" I WORKED A TOTAL OF ROUGHLY 145 HOURS FOR THIS COMPANY, AND MY FUEL COSTS FOR THE 3 WEEKS ALONE WERE NINETY POUNDS.MY ADVICE AVOID ASTERISK BATHROOMS
