About

We are a family run Guest House, close to the City centre, University main campus & West Park Centre, also close to the main bus route for Ninewells Hospital.
Conveniently situated in the West-end of Dundee, The City of Discovery.

The Gateway to discovering the Highlands of Scotland.

All our rooms have:-

Remote controlled Colour television
Hair dryers
Tea & Coffee making facilities (no extra cost)
Washbasin (towels provided)
Room controlled heating
Irons & Ironing boards are available upon request
A cot and high chair are also available
Facilities are shared and consist of two shower rooms and three toilets.

Parking is on street.

We are situated within easy distance of the:

Dundee University main campus (5-10 minute walk)
West Park Centre (10-15 minute walk)
City centre & railway station (10-15 minute walk)
City Airport (10-15 minute walk)
Also close to the main bus route to Ninewells Hospital and well served by plenty of Taxi's and bus routes.

Our letting rooms consist of one family room (double bed & two singles)one double room (double bed), and four single rooms.

Athollbank is situated a short distance from the city centre, easily reached by a short walk or by the many bus routes which serve the West-end. Also within easy reach you will find:-

Dundee city centre with its great range of shops and shopping centres (ideal for shopaholics!):-

Overgate Shopping centre:- including Debenhams, Next, Primark, Littlewoods, Argos, WHSmiths, designer shops, large sports shop, plus many others.
Wellgate Shopping centre:- including BHS, Mothercare, Index, Woolworths, Superdrug, Adams, TKMax plus many others.
Also within the city centre:- Marks & Spencer, Thorntons, jewellery stores, many mobile phone outlets, Game, Evans, Sutherlands (traditional scottish gifts), Boots plus others.
At the City Quay you will find a variety of shops including many discount factory outlets, a discount toy shop and a discount book shop. Its also a very nice place to relax and have a coffee overlooking the water and HMS Unicorn, after all that shopping.
A short distance from the city quay you will find a newly opened Matalan store.

An ideal place for a short break or as a base to tour Scotland.

We are happy to take bookings from families travelling to Dundee for Graduation days and also those travelling to Dundee on Business. We are situated within walking distance of the West Park Centre.

Dundee is on the East Coast of Scotland with its own airport; flights direct to and from London City. It is also well served by trains and buses.

Situated on Scotland's longest river, The Tay, Dundee has two bridges, the Tay Road Bridge and the Tay Rail Bridge (the rebuilt version following the Tay Bridge Disaster of 1879) and is home to Captain Scott's ship RRS Discovery, and also the Frigate Unicorn.

What a joy this place was. very welcoming, clean and friendly enthusiastic host. Beaut breakfast .Wished we could have stayed longer.
