We are located two miles from Barnsley city center by the A61 towards Wakefield, there is plenty of parking and frequent public transport.
If needed, the landlady can offer a taxi service, a packed lunch and an evening meal. The accommodation is friendly and clean and all rooms have TV with a digibox. Fresh towels are provided along with free tea and coffee. We offer single and double rooms and can also cater to families.

DISGUSTING
First to Review The proprietor of this establishment is VERY RUDE. She insisted on knocking on my door twice, at 11-11.30pm, when I had to be up for work early the next morning. She insisted on "cash only," and did not give me a receipt. I witnessed no evidence of book or record keeping of any kind. What she didn't know was that I am a safety officer, and I subsequently submitted reports to Barnsley Council and South Yorkshire Fire Brigade about the dangerous and filthy state of the property. Defects included:- dangerous exposed electrical wiring, Dangerous electrical appliances, not PAT tested, blocked passageways, lack of lighting, huge quantities of flammable materials piled inside and outside, no evidence whatsoever of adherence to any food hygiene protocols, no evidence whatsoever of adherence to any cleaning routines, no means of mitigating a fire, or fire escape plan, uneven surfaces, inside and outside, presenting slip, trip and fall hazards, one shared bathroom and toilet for the entire building, roof and upper parts of the building in a dangerous state of repair, and the risk of "dropped objects" falling on and killing someone being high. When Barnsley Council telephoned the proprietor to investigate my complaints, she denied having any recent guests. This crook should be jailed.

Aunty betty's
Stopped at aunty betty's great comfortable and excellent value for money. Just like home from home. I would recommend this b&b to anyone wanting a homely place to stay.

Best B&B In Barnsley
I have stayed at Auntie Betty's in Barnsley, for one week, it was the most friendly guess house I have ever been to, the service was excilent and the rooms where very comfy to stay in like home from home. I would recommend it to anyone looking for short or long term stay.
