One area, far from our own skill set was the photography element of our special day. To capture the moment and articulate the mood and setting was really important. When researching the best in class it was to be our shock just how many 'professionals' were ill prepared with little or no experience in the civil partnership arena, one even suggesting that 'when you have done one wedding you have done them all' A) we were not having a wedding B) we did not want one size fits all approach. Both day and evening venue were booked based on personal recommendation. Having asked around your name came up a few times and having made contact with you and having our initial consultation, made no hesitation in booking your services. Seizing on the opportunity and being grateful that you were available for our date. What followed was an unhurried approach, which took in to account our personalities, wish list and ideas in mind. This attention to detail and patience without question made our day the extra bit special and the pictures and album allow us to revisit the moment at any time. A particular idea you had, which we had initial reservations, was the pre-civil partnership photo shoot. How wrong we were to have concerns! Due to the nature of our relationship we are not actually affectionate in public, so you chose a location that was private and allowed a element of intimacy not often shown in public. Your experience and personal demeanor totally put us at ease and made us feel comfortable and more importantly we had fun on the day (the pictures support this). Further discussions prior to the big day provided you with and a true understanding of our day, the timings and the people involved. You totally went along with our schedule and everything went to plan. You often hear of these horror stories where a day is totally put behind as the photographer is so focused on getting the right picture that they forget the reason why they are there in the first place. You were very much the contrary and many of our guests commented on the day what a fun, approachable and professional person you were free from any arrogance. Your attention to detail, candid shots and choice of lenses, color made all the difference and somehow made everyone look very nice indeed (and that in its self is worth your fee) Soon after our honeymoon we had the opportunity to go through the photographs and witness the workmanship of your art. To say we were very impressed is an understatement, and this created the unenviable task of having to select a number of photographs for our album. I am very thankful that we opted to have all photos, which means, even those that didn’t make the album we get to keep. The album was printed to a very high standard and in next to knows time. We often show friends and family and look back with pride and for this, we truly thank you.
