IT training, consultancy, project management and technical support

My name is John Pascall. I am an experienced & adaptable IT trainer, software developer and consultant with a proven track record of delivering solutions to high-profile clients in various market sectors.
I have strong consulting, development, training, project planning & implementation experience. I have worked in IT since 1987, in a variety of roles. I went self-employed on 1st July 2002, and set up Avalon Computer Training Ltd. in February 2003.

Training standard and bespoke courses in all main MS Office applications

I provide quality training in all main MS Office applications (Access, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project for Windows) to advanced level, including standard and bespoke private courses tailored to clients' requirements.

Macro programming for Access and Excel

I have trained to Advanced level in VBA for both Access and Excel. This has included consultancy work, problem-solving and debugging existing programs.

Building, debugging and ungrading MS Access databases

I have worked with Access since 1995 and have extensive experience of Access consultancy as well as training. I can develop a database from scratch, according to client requirements. I can upgrade an existing database, extending its functionality and/or solving any problems, bugs etc. I can provide a complete development service for a database, starting with a feasibility study, moving through establishing client requirements, then building and implementing a complete database, including the end-user training programme.

More general help with IT problems

I can provide general consultancy and technical support in Office applications, including Project for Windows and Excel.

Managing an IT project from start to finish

I have successfully managed a number of IT development projects from conception through to implementation (the latter including end-user training). My project management experience has enhanced my MS Project skills, as I can advise clients about real-life project problems, and how to use MS Project to solve them.
