Baranca and Blue Diamond are quiet family run Guest Houses situated on the historic Bayle in the heart of Folkestone overlooking the channel and French Coast. Initially Baranca was restored to cater for the constant flow of tourists and one-day shoppers to France and beyond. However as reputation grew and demand got heavier Blue Diamond was purchased and offered a further 8 rooms to the 10 already in demand. Our customer base is wide ranging from all continents of the world and many 1st time visitors become friends who return year after year. Both Guest Houses offer a friendly atmosphere with clean homely accommodation, it has been stated by many visitors that hotels offer a clean but clinical and businesslike approach which does not allow them to relax.

Here at Baranca & Blue Diamond Guest Houses you have the opportunity to relax, to enjoy the clean sea air, the choice of shopping, or as a base to explore the beautiful South East Coast and all it has to offer, Canterbury Cathedral, Dover Castle and Cinque Ports, Romney Marshes, Ashford Eurostar and Eurotunnel are all in close proximity so there is a wealth of choice for the day tripper, the explorer or even as a stopover on your way to Europe.

All rooms offer Colour TV, and drinks facillities, some are en-suite for added privacy, a choice of Bed and Breakfast or Room Only rates. We offer a choice of 4 different breakfast options with vegetarian and special diets catered for. All rooms vacated by 1030hrs on day of departure, available from 1230hrs on day of arrival.

Payments are taken by cash ( Sterling/ US Dollar/ Euro) or cheque at present but credit cards will be accepted soon.

For that extra something special Champagne? Flowers? Chocolates can all be supplied by prior arrangement.

Children rates will be applied to Family and Triple Rooms where appropriate.
