Have been a few times to Bengal Dream, both when it's been busy (Peak times are a Thurday and Sunday evenings) and when it's been quite (really bad weather on the night) Each time we have had good service and good food. Modern decor and really nice white clean table cloths and ultra friendly staff. We'll be back that's for sure.

we visited this restaurant on saturday night and were inpressed from the minute we walked in. The attention to detail with the decor was outstanding. The menu is varied and the quality of meats etc used was superb. The staff are really friendly and accommodating. The food was beautifully presented and really good quality. We would definetaly return as I think it is hard to find a good quality restaurant in sunderland with food of this standard. I have to say aswell the the food was very reasonably priced. 100% recommended/

I'm the kind of person who can criticise a 5 star hotel, so pay attention when I give something a faultless review.Bengal Dreams is not jut the best curry house in Sunderland, but the best I have ever been to - nationwide. The food is absolutely exquisite. The fresh ingredients, the amazing flavours - it really is Michellin standard Indian food! For starters I'd recommend pretty much anything - believe me I've worked my way round the menu! Galawati Kebab is gorgeous, but my favourtie is the Punjabi Tikka starter - spicey rather than hot.For mains, once again, I have had over 30 or so of these, and I've never had anything less than amazing. My favourite has to be the Kushboo - I've never tasted anything like it!! It's a girls dish - red and coconutty...but quite spicey too.The staff are lovely, local lads - all very willing to have a crack on and a bit banter. And the decor of the place...well you could host a wedding there at the drop of a hat!I think you get the picture now that I couldn't recommend this place enough.
