From traditional wedding dresses with stunning, hand-worked beading to fairytale princess style wedding dresses with acres of frothy tulle and crystals, and even contemporary shorter length wedding dresses, we can help you find your perfect wedding dresses, bridesmaides dresses and accessories.

At Berketex Bride, we want you to be able to enjoy the entire journey as a bride, from engagement to wedding, and that of course includes your selection of 'the' dress!
We know that it can be a confusing and even overwhelming process, but with our expert Stylists in every store, we provide you with objective advice based on many years of experience gained in helping 100's of brides find their perfect dress. We can advise you on which gown shapes might be most suitable for you, your wedding theme and your venue, assist you in trying them on, and offer guidance on selecting accessories to make the most of your chosen dress.
And don't forget that with our extensive range of bridesmaids dresses, our stylists have been trained in helping brides and their bridesmaids achieve a totally coordinated and fabulous look.
Whilst we welcome brides to come in to look around the selection of gowns available, we always recommend that you make an appointment for a one-to-one consultation with your own stylist, so that you can get the most out of your visit to one of our stores.
Can I look around the gowns in the stores without having an appointment ?
Of course, providing there is a stylist available to help you, and that there are not other brides being attended to at the same time. You may have to wait a few minutes for a stylist to become available. We would always recommend that you make an appointment for a one-to-one consultation to get the most out of your visit.
What happens at the first appointment?
When you first arrive, one of our stylists will sit down with you and discuss your wedding plans, date, number of bridesmaids, venue, theme, and so on to get an idea of which gowns might be suitable. She will also look at any tear sheets from magazines that you bring along, to get an idea of the sorts of styles you like. You will be invited to look along the rails of gowns to pick out styles that you like, and then your stylist will help you into each one, pinning it to fit as necessary so you get a really good idea of how it could look on you.
Am I limited to the number of gowns I can try on?
No. However your appointment will be for about 1 hour, and usually we find that you will manage to try on 5-6 gowns during that time.
Can I bring my mum or a friend?
Of course. We understand that you will want to have their help in making your selection, and we welcome them.
Do I have to choose my dress at the first appointment?
No. However we often find that when a bride tries on 'the perfect dress' she won't want to try on anything else, or wait a moment longer! It is very true that when you find the right dress for you, you just somehow know it! If you want to have someone come along for further advice, we recommend that you pick out 1 or 2 favourites from those tried on so it will be easier the next time to make your final choice.
Do you have any Ready To Wear dresses ?
Generally, all gowns are made to order, with alterations made nearer to your wedding if necessary. Any necessary alterations will start during the month of the wedding itself.

Vey unhappy
I am a size 8. They ordered a size 14. Who argues with the 'professionals'? It's loose, saggy and too high at the front. Wouldn't touch this place with a barge pole. Once they've got your money they're not interested. Wedding is in three as and io feel like a tramp.

Warning!
Whatever you do, don't go near this place! The service is just awful. Ive ordered 3 very expensive bridesmaids dresses from them. 3 weeks to go till the wedding and no sign of them yet! Been told this is my fault, for ordering them late, funnily enough they never said this when I ordered them! Been promised them today, they haven't even contacted me, I've just phoned them, it could be another 2 weeks yet. I AM SO FURIOUS,

Oh my god I found my dress!
I found 'the one' at Berketex Bride last year and have just got married. All day I recieved compliments and it fitted like a glove. I was worried with a strapless dress that I would be yanking it up all evening but thanks to the alterations package which included as many fittings as I wanted it didn't move all day and I was able to dance with all the wedding party in the evening thanks to the bustle I had fitted. Fantastic!
In contradiction to the other reviews, I wanted to say what a great service that Berketex Brides provided me with! My dress arrived in plenty of time and fittings were arranged at a time to suit me. The girls in the shop altered my dress so that it was a perfect fit. Everyone commented on how gorgeous it was! I couldn't have been happier! Thank you!

SHOCKING!!!
Last year (2009) I went to look for dresses for my weddding. Thank fully I chose a dress from Caroline Jane in Tamworth, but unfortunately for me I chose my bridesmaids dresses from Berketex. I am appalled at the things I have encountered over the past weeks. I chose my dresses last year and was told to bring my bridesmaids in to be measured in jan/Feb as this would be more than enough time. I am marrying abroad so the dresses needed to arrive at the latest in the last week of June. This is what they promised. The bridesmaids were measured and we were made to believe that the dresses would be made to measure -why take exact measurements if not!!!!???? Communication within the company is very very poor, I found myself ringing them in June to find out about the dresses, to be told that they would keep me posted , I heard nothing from them so had to keep ringing. The dresses arrived on the 9th of July!!!!I had to contact them to find out that they had arrived and their excuse to me was that the reason they hadnt phoned was due to the fact that they were ironing and steaming them (more about this in a bit) Knowing that the dresses were late, they then said that they couldnt fit me in for the girls to try them on, but after I kicked up a fuss they managed to fit us in. The dresses bar one did not fit, they were not ironed -(Excuse for not contacting me) and then they tried to charge me a hundred pound a dress to have them altered. One of my bridesmaids was asked to go and buy a strapless bra so she could try the dress on. This is personal choice!!! I went into a two day argument with them asking for the alterations to be done by the company. This they refused which actually resulted in me asking for a refund because I was that furious with them about their lack of help or communication-Again 'Yes we will get back to you with a decision at 12pm tomorrow' I ended up phoning them at 12.10pm. They refused a refund and the best they could offer me was 100 pounds of the alterations which I told them was not good enough. We have had to find another seamstress who can do the alterations for next to nothing-but one of my bridesmaids fly's out next week so we are on a tight timespan. Conveniently for Berketex the two ladies who dealt with my original order have since left the company, so this was the excuse for not being able to help me further. Overall, as a bride to be you do not need the added stress of a supposedly reputable company getting things so badly wrong and not even bothering to talk to you about them or even offer an apology!!!! The manager of the Birmingham branch was about as useful as a chocolate fireguard! and to be perfectly honest I am shocked at the service I have been given and how I have been treated. FURIOUS!!!

Unhappy
The wedding was abroad. We went to order the dresses in January. We were measured (but it turns out this was a waste of time!) and told the dresses would be in store in June. The dresses arrived late and the store were unable to fit us in for a fitting for another week leaving it just over a week before some of us flew out. The store sent one of us to buy a bra in order that she could be 'fitted' properly (once again a totla waste of time and money). The dresses did not fit being way to big in the bust and too long (by about 6 inches for me). I looked like I was 'swimming' in the dress. They said it was because I had lost some weight (which I had done because when they ordered the dresses they recommended I lose a bit just in case). I had certainly not loat any height though and if I hadnt lost the wieght I would not have been able to do the dress up!!! The other bridesmaids had not lost weight and their dresses did not fit either. They said they would do the alterations but each dress would cost another £100 (more than the initial price of the dresses). Not only that but because they are only open 2 days a week there would be not be enough time. When I asked if they needed to take the measurements again they said they 'cut the dresses on' and we would need to book and pay for a full fitting. I thought that is what we had already done but apparantly that was 'just trying them on' (so why the expensive bra purchase and the measurements back in January?). Now we either have to pay out more than the cost of the dress for alterations or try and find a dressmaker who is available to do the work in less than a week. Very annoyed.
