Help! I unfortunately used this excuse of an Accountant for three years and am still paying the consequences. HMRC fines and penalties are currently over £7000 and counting. Does anyone know if I can claim back fines and charges from HMRC due to his failure to represent me?

AVOID
There should be a regulatory body, but there is not. This man cost me thousands of pounds, poor advise incomplete work, late returns, fines. I cannot stress enough do not go near using this incompitent man.

Well it seems this Andrew Bobbett is so busy phone number swapping, office and website hopping that he either has no time left for services agreed, or more likely he is incompetent as stated by other customers. Again you have been warned.

Avoid at all costs
I contacted Mr Bobbett after receiving a flyer. He asked for my accounts as some Excel spreadsheets, which I sent together with a number of questions. After this I tried unsuccessfully contacting him by phone several times and by email, with no success at all. In the end I found another accountant, who gave a professional service including dividends and Companies House. After a considerable time Mr Bobbett contacted me as if nothing was wrong. Had I relied on him I would have had significant fines. I am surprised he is allowed to practice.

Unreliable, unprofessional and unobtainable!
Andrew Bobbett is utterly incompetent and should be avoided at all costs. Initially, he seems very helpful but then fails to respond to phone calls, text messages or emails. There are multiple phone numbers, almost always diverting to voicemail. On one occasion he blamed a fault on his office line for me not being able to contact him. When I said I'd left messages on his home and mobile numbers over a number of days, he replied "Well you've got hold of me now!" He does not keep his promises or work to his own deadlines and in the long run is likely to cost you time, money or both. I initially dealt with Andrew’s business partner as I was behind with my accounts and needed the help of an ‘expert’. They had my files for over 18 months but failed to provide any details to the HMRC or file a tax return. I had to demand that he return my paperwork so that I could employ another accountant. Whilst my files did eventually arrive, a number of items were missing. Thankfully, I was able to obtain duplicate copies! My advice; get recommendations for another accountant and steer well clear of this one!

Be Warned- DO Not Use
Never returns phone calls, late on everything. Cost my company fines. This man should not be in business Now I see his website has been taken down!!

DO NOT USE...
DO NOT USE...Andrew Bobbett is an absolute disaster, he consistently put off my accounts despite regular reminders resulting in very hefty fines and the near loss of my business. If only he spent as much time doing the work as he does thinking of excuses. You have been warned...
