Here at Body Kneads we use variety of Indian oils like Sahacharadi oil (strengthens muscles), Ashwagandha oil (rejuvenates nerves and muscles), Karpooradi (soothes aches), and many other oils that are prepared from a wide range of plants, spices and herbs which possess medicinal and energetic qualities. When the oils are applied, they easily penetrate into the body and bring healing virtue to the cells.
Using the specialized and ancient strokes of Indian massage therapy with warm oil, we knead through your body to bring vitality, relief and restoration.
Whether it be stress, back pain, neck pain, sports injury, headaches, or repetitive strain injury, our therapist will work with you to help your body to slowly regain to normalcy.
As a young boy, I was diagnosed with cancer of the bone and muscles. The side effects of the cancer and treatment caused pain all over my body. I experienced great relief from this pain through massage. Having experienced pain to such levels, I have a strong instinct for massage and compassion for those experiencing pain. I believe that it is important to be well trained AND intuitive with massage. I bring both of these together in my therapy.
I received professional training in massage from my hometown (Trivandrum, Kerala) at the internationally acknowledged KAHC (Kerala Ayurvedic Health Centre). Apart from this, my background in Bioinformatics and Cellular & Molecular Biology gives me added advantage for understanding therapy at a molecular level.
I hope your experience at Body Kneads will be a refreshing one!
"Massage Therapy is a whimsical luxury."
Nothing could be further from reality. If you are someone who is concerned about the well being of your body, massage therapy is something you may want to fit in to your monthly or bimonthly schedule.
Just think for a moment, what is your first response when you bump your head or smash your finger accidentally? Instantly you rub the area vigorously to relieve yourself of the pain. This very natural, genetically programmed response reflects the heart of massage therapy.
Recent scientific research reveals that Massage Therapy causes two major changes in our bodies: It reduces inflammation considerably, and it signals muscles to produce increased amounts of mitochondria, the energy house of cell, thereby accelerating muscle recovery and healing.
Justin Crane, a doctoral student in the Department of Kinesiology at McMaster says, 'As a non-drug therapy, massage holds the potential to help not just bone-weary athletes but those with inflammation-related chronic conditions, such as arthritis or muscular dystrophy'.
In no way am I suggesting that three weeks of massage will cure any ailment. However, I am suggesting that an investment in regular massage therapy will ensure that all bodily systems function at an optimal level.

Constant tension at work and sitting in front of my computer caused my body to be stiff and experience pain. In the past I have experienced relief in my body through massage, but it was the first time I received an Indian massage with the use of oil. A friend of mine recommended Indian massage. And I must say that the massage session I had with Sidharth was exactly what my body needed after the hard week I had at work. I felt my circulation system renewed, energized and my mood affected positively. It is such a good feeling to have a refreshed sound body to continue my daily works.
I'd been having neck and upper back soreness for some time. Sidharth gave me a head, neck and back massage that was so relaxing and loosened all the knots in my back and neck. The climax was the head massage and I felt fresh and rejuvenated. It was my first time trying an Indian massage and it was the best massage I've experienced. I'd defintely recommend Sidharth.
