Do not trust

We bought a Peugeot 206 from this dealership 2 weeks ago. Now it has had leaks of power steering fluid and engine oil, after taking it to the my work’s recommended service station it seems the head gasket has blown and the car is in terrible shape. I called up to ask if anything could be done and was told that there wasn’t. I mentioned Trading Standards and their website offering 3-month warranty and was immediately shot down with “you didn’t buy it from a dealership, you bought it personally from me” – as it turns out they sneakily put their name and address down on the invoice, not the business “Bournemouth and Poole Car Sales”, which we were at when purchasing the car (and also found and saved the advert of the car from). Incredibly underhanded and unlawful. There has been a number of other discoveries about the car and it seems that we’ve been completely had. We’re appalled that a dealership can do something like this and think it is acceptable. As others have said in the reviews, think twice before using this dealership. Authorities were contacted and they have contacted the dealership, I hope the small amount of pocket change was worth it. The dealers you hear about who can trick you out of your money? This is one of them.
