Bowman Riley is an award-winning team of architects, building consultants and interior designers working from offices in Leeds, London and Skipton, North Yorkshire.

In 2018 Bowman Riley celebrated 50 years of designing exceptional spaces that have transformed our built environment.

Our talented team of 60 professionals have successfully delivered high quality and effective property consultancy services on over 10,000 projects across the commercial, education, healthcare, hotel, leisure, industrial, residential and retail sectors.

To realise our clients' ambitions, we provide bespoke solutions from master planning and concept architecture to detailed design, project delivery and interior design. To complement our design services, we offer building surveying including project management and expertise in dilapidations, party wall matters and health and safety.

It is a testament to our commitment and client-centred approach that we continue to maintain relationships with long-standing clients, some of whom started the journey with us back in 1968.

Bowman Riley is a Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Chartered Practice and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) registered practice.

We hold Investors in People, Cyber Essentials Plus and BIM Level II certification. We operate the Quality Management system ISO9001 and the Environmental Management System ISO14001.

Led by RICS chartered building surveyors, our team support building and estate owners, occupiers and investors with the purchase, maintenance, management, rationalisation, enhancement and disposal of their built assets.

Interior Design
Our team is at the forefront of interior design; creating inspiring, efficient and exciting internal spaces that add value and inspiration to new and existing buildings.

Embracing the latest technology in 3D modelling and visualisation, we provide our clients with cutting-edge interior designs. Taking these design concepts through development and onto delivery, we help realise our client's aspirations.

Working closely with our architects and building consultants, we can offer a full in-house design service from all our UK offices.

Our Story
Bowman Riley's story began in 1968 when three architects launched a new practice and unable to decide on where to locate a Head Office to best serve the commercial centres of Leeds and Manchester, a pin was stuck in a map somewhere in between. The market town Skipton, North Yorkshire on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales was picked.

Over 10 years ago we established an office in Leeds city centre and in 2012 coinciding with the London Olympics and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, we opened our central London office.

From the beginning the practice has had a very clear, unswerving, focus on quality design, attention to detail and client care, so much so that we continue to work with long standing clients, some of whom span back to our company's inception.

Today Bowman Riley is a dynamic and commercial practice led by directors Darren Bush, John Coultas, Michael Feather and Matthew Jones operating from offices in Leeds, London and Skipton. To complement our architecture services, we offer a range of building consultancy services headed up by Caroline Fattorini.

In 2017, we launched our interior design brand to enhance our service offering and are now a member of the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID).
