About

Brighton Tree Specialists

Established in 1959, Brighton Tree Specialists are a friendly and professional company with a proven track record of high quality, environmentally conscious workmanship.

Our experience enables us to provide a wide range of garden and arboriculture services carried out by hardworking and concientious aborists. We are fully insured and are more them happy to give free advice. Brighton Tree Specialists are committed to protecting the natural environment. We try to have as little impact as possible on the surrounding landscape and minimise disturbance to the wildlife and their habitat.

We recycle as much waste as possible in the form of mulch, chips and logs. Biodegradable lubrication oil is used for all machinery and we avoid out-dated practices that are detrimental to the long term survival of the trees such as topping, tipping and the flush cutting of limbs.

We provide a comprehensive range of garden and tree care services from the trimming back of unruly hedges and general garden care to the sectional felling of trees in urban environments and site clearances.

Some of our main services are listed to the right. Please select an item to see a more detailed explanation of the process.

We also offer quality, seasoned logs for your fire. These are cut to a manageable size suitable for your home. Please contact us if you have requirements other than those listed and we will do our best to accommodate you.

If you thought that pruning involves no more than just chopping off a few branches, please (on behalf of the trees) read this short note to be introduced to the art of pruning.

Every cut made has the potential to change the growth of the tree or shrub. However live-branch pruning is an essential part of forming good crown structure, and is a necessary procedure in the management of specimen trees within residential parks and gardens.

It is essential when considering pruning a tree, of any age, that a thorough evaluation is done to determine the objectives to be achieved, when the work is complete. The decisions can then, be made as to where, how, when and how often to prune the specific tree or trees, to achieve these objectives

We will come around and inspect the work that needs doing at a time that is suitable for you, and offer you professional advice on what the best course of action will be, taking into account the type of trees and their specific requirements, the health of the trees, any safety concerns and any imposed restrictions such as TPOs, CONs, nearby drains, houses and light blockage.

On acceptance of our quote we will endeavour to carry out the work at the first possible opportunity. This is usually within two weeks of the quote being accepted or at your convenience. Tree preservation orders or work in conservation areas may delay the process but this will be discussed with you at your initial consultation.

After completion of the work we will tidy the site, recycling and disposing of all the waste produced as well as giving advice on caring for the trees in the future.

Direct access to the garden is ideal, but as you would expect, if clearance involves carrying waste through a customer's house or business property, it is company policy to clean up thoroughly when the work is complete, leaving areas tidy and reducing inconvenience to the customer to a minimum.
