WHY A REFURBISHMENT AND NOT A REPLACEMENT?

Basicaly the BMW VANOS system requires very high oil pressure in order to adjust the camshafts very quickly and accurately this gives better torque at low engine speeds and better power at high speeds, Now thats great when the car is newer but over time the seals start to weaken and oil pressure can suffer this can lead to VANOS rattle and or loss of power.

Bromspec Motor works can do a full Vanos refurbishment using uprated seals designed to hold higher oil pressure than standard seal as used by BMW.
