Having visited Brookside Stables for an introductory visit, I can vouchsafe that my experience was a happy one, with professional and candid tutelage from ladies who certainly know their stuff. There's ample secure customer parking, but most prefer to pull on the grass verges outside, which also has the effect of slowing down the more flamboyant motorist. There's a tack-room/waiting room for those who arrive early with basic tea/coffee making facilities. There's no affectation; just mugs and kettles! A customer toilet is available. Tuition is available from the most basic entry-level with even the family's granddaughter (less than 2-years-old) ready to mount and ride, I kid you not. Juvenile tuition is top-line. I had time to visit the Patrington Horse Show in May bank holiday, 2014, and witnessed the spectacle of another grandchild (Poppy) cantering-off with award after award despite being pitted against fully-grown adults, and she not 6-years old. No handicap was awarded for her junior status. Whilst another 12-year-old prodigy - taught from scratch at Brookside - was a finalist of the supreme champion award, once again competing against adults. Speaking as a novice, I would heartily recommend a visit. Young Poppy is no better warranty for the standard or training available. And it's great fun, too!

I can personally say Brookside stables is a brilliant yard to be at and would recommend anyone to ride/visit here any age and any level! 6 months ago I was recommended Brookside stables as I was looking for livery with a riding school as a new horse owner. I have been overwhelmed by the support knowledge and time both Penny and Frankie have given me and my horse, then out of the blue my horse became seriously ill that's when they really stepped up and I cannot express how grateful and how wonderful the whole family at Brookside have help me supported me and got me and my boy through the last 3 months fantastic yard and massive thank you Penny and Frankie and your wonderful family

I ve been riding at brookside stables for a number of years now and its a lovely place. Penny and her family are very welcoming and you feel like part of the family. They are very accommodating to what sort of lesson I wanted to do and improve on. Also my daughter has been for a few pony rides and loved it. Thanks penny for all you do.

Sour grapes as asked not to come anymore, this is the type of customer that you don't want. Involved innocent parties, caused an unnecessary situation. If that bad why is she so upset that she cannot come and was wanting to re book. The lady did say a lot of nasty comments in front of her own kids as she states. Always 2 sides to a story, and she is definitely the one telling a story . Thank you for your time

Thanks for all the time and effort you have put in with Mia with her riding lessons over the last few years. She has progressed well and is more confident with my own horse at home. You also took the time, free of charge, to help me buy my horse. I am extremely grateful and know that if I had a problem I can come to you. We have always had a good friendly relationship and would recommend you to others. Thanks again.
