My time there waz happy, had loads of laufs at night running around in the dormertrie winnie has to be my favourite and Jackie, keeping ms helen on her toes 😅😅

I lived at Broome House between 1977 & 1980, I was on the receiving end of a lot of what was written above, lots of abuse and some of that was sexual in nature.

Home for Nonces (1970-74)
Wee bairns - terrified and lost - were sent there, and the more 'prettier and quiet' were nonced up and beaten up by house-headmasters who knew they could get away with it...and if the more braver told social workers, they were seen as 'liars' or 'story tellers' - and sent to worse homes far far away from their families.
