Taught by Sensei Wayne Jackson and Sensei Colin Caruthers, Banbury Bugei Ki Ryu Jujuitsu club has been running for 20 years. Though it’s emphasis is on throws, takedowns and restraint techniques, jujitsu also incorporates punches, kicks, ground work and, at higher levels, weapon work. While many of it’s techniques may appear brutal, the philosophy of jujitsu is very much one of using an opponents force and momentum against them rather than attacking with brute force.
