Definitely the worst online experience I have ever had. Bought an expensive item that needed replacing and got no help at all, no response to my messages and had to go through small claims court to get my money back. Lowlife traders so avoid at all costs.

Broken pole returned for credit
Bought a brand new browning xitan pole 1 section broken on delivery reported and was promised a new section to replace. Was promised this for 4 months having returned the broken section did not turn up. Was asked to return the rest of the pole and was promised a refund this was back in March am still waiting

Wychwood riot 9ft carp rod
Bought the rod from burtree angling (home un leisure,) Nov 2022 and the first fish caught the rod snapped in May 2023 sent messages emails and eventually litigation letters and eventually recieved a response on the second letter. Extremely POOR service when items they sell fail which from the information on the net appears to be constant. This company needs to stop trading or get their customer service issues resolved

Low lifes
Disgusting company mis leading and falsely advertising blatantly shipping items that don't match the description and then send out goods that don't even match what you bought and then rather than doing the decent thing and resolving an issue they ignore you. Don't deal with this company
I bought 3x Ngt carp rods and I went out the first time and rod snapped and when I messaged them they said that they would refund me and I am still waiting communication is bit of hit and miss I will certainly won’t be dealing with this company from now on

Valerie very rude and unhelpful!
Was interested in items in eBay’s jackets and braces. Sent an email asking about postage as each item was 14.95£ I thought surely if your buying 3/4 items that they would combine the postage. 60£ for postage was abit high! She came back to me very rudely saying no she won’t and telling me not to bid on items! Makes no sense a business wants to turn you away for asking about combining postage if I bought items I wanted! Would highly recommend using someone else Valerie doesn’t give a shit about customers! Based on all the reviews in here others agree!

Tried to cancel order immediately after ordering but was declined,after waiting a long time for order to arrive tried to send back but post office could not send as it is on industrial estate and they said the address had no unit number and they could not track where it was going,tried to phone but getting no answer so stuck with item.

I purchased a prologic fishing suit from these through EBay after a few weeks I-realised it was faulty contacted them and was asked to return the item at my own expense with the promise of a refund of postage cost and a replacement suit . After numerous neither the postage cost or the replacement suit had arrived in the the had to involve a third party to recover at the cost of the suit , still£15 out of pocket , This is by far the worst Angling shop I have used Stay clear guys

Avoid at all costs
Sent wrong item. Told me to return at my cost (they would refund). Once they had the the returned item, they stopped communication and didn’t send a replacement or refund. Had to raise a claim through eBay which has been resolved by eBay refunding me via their guarantee policy. Absolute scum!!

Middy V3 Top Two Kit
First time purchase through eBay…(home-un-leisure) and unfortunately the item arrived damaged but so did the box that it came in, although there was no bubble wrap etc inside to protect it from damage in the first place which surprised me being carbon fibre that’s easily breakable by some dumbass couriers that don’t give a toss ! Sent the seller an email with pictures to prove the damage and they replied within a few hours saying that they would send out a replacement and they didn’t want the damaged item returned. Bearing in mind it was a bank holiday weekend the replacement arrived today 2nd June in a protective pole that I can actually use to store pole sections, rods etc ! So what started as a negative impression of this seller turned out rather positive in the end. I would be happy to buy from this company again.

If you want customer satisfaction and an online company you can trust then STAY WELL CLEAR !! I bought a pro logic suit from them which developed a fault I was told to return for a replacement after 5 promised delivery dates they now don’t even respond to emails and don’t even consider trying to contact them by telephone as both contact numbers don’t ever get answered I returned my faulty goods as instructed and they still have them so now I have no jacket and they have the cash I paid for it ValBaines is a figment if someone’s imagination so don’t try and contact I’ve never ever known crap service like this ever I wish I’d read this feedback forum before I shopped with them You have been warned folks they are thieves liars and conmen

Ordered a week ago and fedex still havnt recieved the my rod they have taken £300 off me and saying they have sent it when they have not. Then I get a message we are sending another one sorry for the wait. I'm gunna go nuts and find where they are

I have purchased from the folks before, never had a problem. Very quick delivery. Unfortunately, incorrect version of the rod was sent. However, top customer service received in sorting out refund etc. Many thanks for pleasant dealings, shame the correct rod was not ultimately obtainable. C'est la vie.

Ordered an item it never turned up told me they would send it again and still never arrived, my requests for a refund were ignored and it’s taken almost a month for me to get my money refunded via PayPal, this company needs reporting to trading standards they are scamming everyone

Terrible retailer
I purchased an item from them which came with no instructions. I asked them for some and they kept telling me they have asked for some from their supplier. I have never received any instructions despite asking regularly since the purchase. Once the timescale for leaving feedback on eBay had passed they stopped responding to my messages via eBay. I am unable to determine if the item is faulty or not. I have since learned that the manufacturer of the item went out of business before I purchased the item. I don't believe that Burtree Angling (Home Un Leisure on ebay) ever did ask for instructions from the supplier (I have now emailed a possible UK distributor to ask if Burtree requested any from them aswell) and only ever intended to lead me on for as long as necessary to avoid having to accept a return for an item from an out of business manufacturer. I have reported them to the C.A.B / Trading Standards.

Bidding on ebay to buy a rod won the buy same rod she sold for more money and she got my money no item contacted Val Baines she come will all excuses under the sun PayPal address is wrong then it was to do with Scotland an so on... No money no item ebay seems to be on there side ... Stay away from burtree angling or Ebay name home un leisure Or women called Val Baines Cant understand how shes getting away with....

Worst transaction and communication from any retailer ever. Refused to acknowledge any liability for returned item and was forced to have 3rd party to resolve. Do not purchase then you won’t be disappointed.

Savage Gear Black savage rods
I bought three of these rods 2 x 100g and the 150g . Delighted with all three and a third of RRP .the down side .. No Communication One didnt arrive for two weeks... Eventually got an answer from Val via email agreeing that postage fee would be returned ..never heard from her again and im now blocked from bidding?

Appalling
I have very strong grounds to suspect that they are guilty of Shilling. All the time i see Private Bidding with mine being the only bidders name listed. Fortunately one rod i bid for and won was delivered. Knowing what i know now never again. I have asked Ebay to investigate this Appalling Company. Must be shut down.

Just read the reviews above, I ordered a size 9 pair of boots and received a pair of size 11. This is after a message sent with the order and a separate email to ensure they got it right......but no. After emailing and trying to call still no feedback .....

Be careful ! They sell items they dont have ! Take your money then dont send you your items keep your money for as long as they can, if they do this to 100 people every day they bank 10s of thousands of pound a week. 6 wks b4 i got my money back just collecting intrest from the public

Rip off.
I bought a set of Pro logic R2L 4+1 set from home-un-leisure they sent a set of 3+1 set and an odd bite detector in a cardboard box, I complained to them and they said return them and they would send a replacement. after weeks of emails and trying to phone a number that doesn't work, they now have sent a refund. but they are still advertising the same product on ebay, Don't bid on these items it's a rip off. I bought mine through Pay-Pal credit so I'm now paying for an item over 12 months that I never got. E bay should remove these rip off merchants from their site.

Still waiting for replacement
I ordered a Ridge Monkey frying pan, which was despatched and duly received here. It was a gift, and on first use, a few weeks later, was faulty - the non stick coating was peeling off. I emailed Val Baines, was asked to return it which I did. No replacement has been sent, emails are ignored.

Poor Quality Goods & Customer Service
Bought what was supposed to be a Browning Black Magic rod holdall from them. It has split in a few places with hardly any use or weight in it. I have tried to contact them with no response by e mail and the phone number goes to a fax machine. I suspect it may be a fake so I will take it up with Trading Standards

HOWEVER ON RECENTLY TRYING TO BID FOR ITEMS FIND I AM BLOCKED FROM DO SO, DESPITE EMAILS & PHONE CALLS I STILL GET NO RESPONSE, WHATS GOING ON UP THERE NOW. NOT GOOD AT ALL purchased some line that i had to return said they would replace ,this was aug 2016 by the time it got to nov i just wanted my money back you can not ring them as no phone only a fax number i sent over 20 emails .out of frustation i rang the manufacturer to see if as they keeped saying they could not get it as it was on back order ,but no it was there .i will say prologic were fantastic and sent me my line at there cost what a top company to some up do not want to deal with burtree or home un leisure as they are on ebay EVER AGAIN

Map bib&brace plus jacket
After paying through Paypal on the 23/05/2015 I still have not yet received the full order. I received trousers and a jacket on the 03/06 and I am still awaiting the bib&brace and the trousers collecting. Totally unprofessional attitude as they do not answer the phone and only reply to the emails they like.
