Bought the rod from burtree angling (home un leisure,) Nov 2022 and the first fish caught the rod snapped in May 2023 sent messages emails and eventually litigation letters and eventually recieved a response on the second letter. Extremely POOR service when items they sell fail which from the information on the net appears to be constant. This company needs to stop trading or get their customer service issues resolved

Was interested in items in eBay’s jackets and braces. Sent an email asking about postage as each item was 14.95£ I thought surely if your buying 3/4 items that they would combine the postage. 60£ for postage was abit high! She came back to me very rudely saying no she won’t and telling me not to bid on items! Makes no sense a business wants to turn you away for asking about combining postage if I bought items I wanted! Would highly recommend using someone else Valerie doesn’t give a shit about customers! Based on all the reviews in here others agree!

I purchased a prologic fishing suit from these through EBay after a few weeks I-realised it was faulty contacted them and was asked to return the item at my own expense with the promise of a refund of postage cost and a replacement suit . After numerous neither the postage cost or the replacement suit had arrived in the the had to involve a third party to recover at the cost of the suit , still£15 out of pocket , This is by far the worst Angling shop I have used Stay clear guys

Sent wrong item. Told me to return at my cost (they would refund). Once they had the the returned item, they stopped communication and didn’t send a replacement or refund. Had to raise a claim through eBay which has been resolved by eBay refunding me via their guarantee policy. Absolute scum!!

First time purchase through eBay…(home-un-leisure) and unfortunately the item arrived damaged but so did the box that it came in, although there was no bubble wrap etc inside to protect it from damage in the first place which surprised me being carbon fibre that’s easily breakable by some dumbass couriers that don’t give a toss ! Sent the seller an email with pictures to prove the damage and they replied within a few hours saying that they would send out a replacement and they didn’t want the damaged item returned. Bearing in mind it was a bank holiday weekend the replacement arrived today 2nd June in a protective pole that I can actually use to store pole sections, rods etc ! So what started as a negative impression of this seller turned out rather positive in the end. I would be happy to buy from this company again.

If you want customer satisfaction and an online company you can trust then STAY WELL CLEAR !! I bought a pro logic suit from them which developed a fault I was told to return for a replacement after 5 promised delivery dates they now don’t even respond to emails and don’t even consider trying to contact them by telephone as both contact numbers don’t ever get answered I returned my faulty goods as instructed and they still have them so now I have no jacket and they have the cash I paid for it ValBaines is a figment if someone’s imagination so don’t try and contact I’ve never ever known crap service like this ever I wish I’d read this feedback forum before I shopped with them You have been warned folks they are thieves liars and conmen

I purchased an item from them which came with no instructions. I asked them for some and they kept telling me they have asked for some from their supplier. I have never received any instructions despite asking regularly since the purchase. Once the timescale for leaving feedback on eBay had passed they stopped responding to my messages via eBay. I am unable to determine if the item is faulty or not. I have since learned that the manufacturer of the item went out of business before I purchased the item. I don't believe that Burtree Angling (Home Un Leisure on ebay) ever did ask for instructions from the supplier (I have now emailed a possible UK distributor to ask if Burtree requested any from them aswell) and only ever intended to lead me on for as long as necessary to avoid having to accept a return for an item from an out of business manufacturer. I have reported them to the C.A.B / Trading Standards.

I bought a set of Pro logic R2L 4+1 set from home-un-leisure they sent a set of 3+1 set and an odd bite detector in a cardboard box, I complained to them and they said return them and they would send a replacement. after weeks of emails and trying to phone a number that doesn't work, they now have sent a refund. but they are still advertising the same product on ebay, Don't bid on these items it's a rip off. I bought mine through Pay-Pal credit so I'm now paying for an item over 12 months that I never got. E bay should remove these rip off merchants from their site.
