Hi Everyone! A blog's a new thing for me & I don't know what sort of response I'll get so here goes!Topped out two Lawson's cypress in Debden yesterday & today. These are particularly reassuring trees to work in as the branches for a dense basket-like canopy that you couldn't fall out of if you tried! Tree 1 had an overhead power line and telegraph wire below it so it was important to ensure all the material all fell to the right side of the tree. Job done, it was back home for an afternoon in the office.Nesting birds are a problem at this time of year. Last week I had to call off a job in Hitchin when nesting pigeons were found in the target trees. Yes, even pigeons are protected by the law and in any case, we aren't in the business of environmental vandalism.
