Terrible service
Caledonian Moving and Storage moved our goods to Australia. Some stuff didn't arrive and our efforts to contact the owner been ignored. The owner refuses to take our calls, he hung up on me last week. He doesn't respond to emails and has told his employee Paul not to talk to us. On the one occassion he did respond to one of my emails - it was abusive. We have now involved the police, who are investigating! As at 26/2/03: The owner was interviewed by the police for three hours, signed a written statement saying he would hand over our goods if we sent an agent around to his premises to pick them up. Thanks to the police we now have our goods back! To support my review, I have emails from strathclyde police stating the owner was interviewed by police for three hours and that he signed a document saying he would return our goods. I would not recommend this company!

Worst Company
Caledonian Moving and Storage took my goods and money, some of which are extremely sentimental, and not only lost them, would not give me any information on who he passed them on to, if he ever even shipped them and offered no form of compensation for the goods (valued between 10-15k). He was constantly rude, told different stories, and eventually just stopped all communication in the hope I would just 'go away'. The company hides behind the issues being a civil case, and not criminal in the hope that it is not worth people time taking him to court to get back the value of his goods. Unfortunately for them, I am going to take him to court, and if nothing else, even I do not see a penny, I will bankrupt his business and get the company owners struck off as a company director. Don't be fooled by the fancy website and any promises. The company owner sent me the following text messages: "I honestly don't care about the police, visa, people I owe money to, Internet reviews and the like, the only thing I care about is people I know well, friends and family etc trust and respect." "Get tae **** ya daft !!!!! " "Do you have a mental illness? " Not a nice man, please avoid. He has other companies as well running out of: Unit1, Lomond Street, Glasgow, Scotland G22 6JJ If you see that address, stay clear, there are many genuine removal and storage companies out there who can offer you a genuine service. Do not be fooled like I was! They are also not registered with Brittish Association of Removal. I advise you use a company who is.

Excellent Service
Used Caledonian Moving & Storage for my removal in July. I choose them as their surveyor was only one from 5 companies to give me any decent information. The other spent more time trying to sell me and slagging each other. The followed up with a great removal service, the team that carried out the move were friendly and helpful and I was impressed with the speed and efficiency, clearly knew what they were doing!
