PMThis company does not keep its word. I got a quotation on the same day I brought my Nikon D40X camera and was told that it will be ready in 5 days. This is the reason I paid 20 pounds. Three days after, they called to say they couldn't fix the camera in 5 days after all, so I had to take back my camera unrepaired. BUT THEY DIDN'T RETURN THE 20 POUNDS. The manager is a crook!!! The amount they were asking was even higher than the authorized Nikon service shop!

I've got no way of knowing whether the service they provided was as good as could be expected or not - so here's what happened. i took my camcorder in and paid £47 for them to look at it, deductable from the eventual repair fee if i accepted it. They called me, told me the balance was £101, which I reluctantly went for, and said it should be ready in 10 days. In fact it took 11. The repair was guaranteed for 3 months. I checked everything in the shop, then got it home to find the cassette wouldn't eject, play or do anything. So back to the shop, where it stayed for about a week. I really needed it sooner. The pleasant young woman I spoke to was vague each time I rang. However they did fix it for free, and really i don't think the second problem was caused by them, because as I said, it worked when I tried it in the shop. So was 11 days plus a week at £147 value? It's less than a new camcorder. I don't know how quickly Panasonic supply parts, how much the component cost (Control PCB, if that means anything to anyone) or how long the repair took to do. I hope this information is of help.

I put my camera in to get the lens fixed. They told me 10-14 days and it took 6 weeks. I rang and left multiple messages and sent emails asking the progress as it was nearing my holidays abroad. They never got back to me. I finally got in touch with a woman at Head Office(4 weeks in) and she said another 10 days. I had to buy a new camera to take away with me!!! 2 weeks later I get a text saying it's FINALLY ready. I rang to confirm this and said I should get some kind of compensation from being stuffed around so much and being out of pocket for the camera I bought for my trip. The receptionist said it's not her problem and talk to the manager. I spoke to manager when I picked it up and he said that it's not their problem that I bought another camera as it was my decission. I said the service was terrible and he rebutted everything I said. He finally gave me a 10pound discount. Cost to fix was 3/4 of what I bought the camera for. Never go back there again! Very rude and not professional! Stay clear of.

these people should be closed down by trading standards. i put my lens in for repair, they ended up breaking one of the components. when i took it back in, they said i'd need to pay again to get it fixed, then when i said i'd pick it up instead of letting them loose on it again, they said they couldnt find it. TOTAL COWBOYS. STEER CLEAR.

Unbelievably unprofessional, crap service, no communication whatsoever. I cannot believe this business has any pleased customer; they don't deserve to remain in business. Please go somewhere else. I don't recommend them at all. I have waited more than 3months for the repair, they charged me double the initial quotation, and now they want me to wait even longer. Crap!

I went to the Kensington branch to hand in my camera on the 27th of March and told them SPECIFICALLY that i wanted to collect it by the 3rd of April 09. by the LATEST as i am going abroad on the 6th of April and i really needed the camera. As of yet i am still waiting for them to get back to me on the status of my digital camera, and it has nearly been 5 weeks, not the original "10 days" as was promised by them. I am severly disappointed in the service and expected more out of them since they quoted me an extortionate price for the fixing of my camera, a dented lens. I do not recommend this place at all. Poor communication, as they NEVER pick up the phone or reply to your email requests and for the money they charged to fix it, i might as well have bought another camera.
