poor vehicle-disconnected wires to hide problems

I approached this dealer with confidence; they were very pleasant and all appeared fine with the vehicle, I didn't expect the vehicle to be perfect as it was 16 years old but after just a couple of days of owning the vehicle a warning light came on. I phoned the dealer, he suggested a temporary fix by disconnecting the battery negative lead, I asked if the light was to come on after would you fix it, he then became quite rude telling me he sold the vehicle in good faith and hung up, having done some research I found that the SRS airbags disconnected too, shortly after the steering wheel was shaking under braking, at slow speeds and high, due to this I did had to retire to vehicle to the drive as I didn't feel comfortable driving nor putting my child in it. Now very frustrated, I have to now take legal action to recoup the money (over £500) I've had to spend putting it right. I would advise anyone to steer clear of this dealer.
