Bill joined the brewing industry in 1985, following a successful career in the Army. His appointment as Chief Executive of the International Brewers' Guild (IBG) drew on his administrative and management skills together with his team building expertise, talents acquired during his service career.
During his time with the IBG, a major activity was dealing with sensitive recruitment matters with the utmost tact and diplomacy. Bill's role at the IBG involved him in extensive travel, both nationally and internationally.
Over the last 3 years he has been able to draw on the contacts made during that time to establish a comprehensive world-wide database of contacts on behalf of CPL and their clients.
Julie enjoyed a successful career in international sales and marketing before joining the IBG in 1990.
As a senior member of the IBG's staff for some 10 years, Julie built up an impressive knowledge of the brewing and associated industries. Her role also involved exploring opportunities within the wider drinks industry thus enabling her to establish an extensive network of contacts in all areas of the industry.
It became apparent to Bill and Julie that there was a need for a specialist search & selection consultancy with the ability to deliver a professional service. Carling Partnership was established in 2001 to meet the need.
Since forming the company, a variety of successful placements have been made in brewing, soft drinks, wine and the allied trades both nationally and internationally.
We only recruit for the drinks and associated industries; this enables us to offer a highly specialised service to our clients. Our speciality is the recruitment of production and associated personnel at senior and middle management levels.
Prior to undertaking any assignment, we will meet with the Client and key members of the Client's team to discuss the appointment, enabling us to identify their precise requirements.
