Carlos

Carlos is a wonderful Italian restaurant located on Nether Hall Road in the centre of town. I have been here several times in the last couple of years and have yet to be disappointed with any aspect of my evenings there. The welcome is warm and the atmosphere friendly. The decor is more "contrived Italian" than authentic but none the worse for it. It is however, as always with a restaurant, the food on which it should be judged and this is where Carlos comes into its own. The menu is extensive huge but logically laid out, with more options being available from the daily specials board. I have only scratched the surface of the menu on my visits but can whole heartedly recommend the foccacia (with rosemary and sea salt) and the melanzane parmigiana (which is the yard stick I use to measure the worth of any Italian restuarant).This isn't the cheapest Italian in the town so expect to pay about £6 for a starter and £12-14 for a main but you wont be disappointed with what you get for your money.
