Poor service
We had vinyl sheet flooring laid in our bathroom by Carpet News. We ordered 6mm plywood, they turned up with inferior 3mm hardboard. And, as we found out afterwards, they didn’t even glue the hardboard down properly. The result was a floor which endlessly creaked and groaned. We complained. They refused to even come out and look at the problem. We then had no choice but to call in another contractor, who re-fitted the floor properly with plywood. We asked Carpet News for a refund of the fitting charge (£100), and they simply ignored all of our communications. An unprofessional and shoddy outfit (the fitters even left the off-cuts in our bath!) – who we would recommend you avoid.
