Dear Carter Mills and Co, Thank you for assisting us in our appeal to make a reduction within our business rates. Your team where very friendly I would definatly like to highlight your customer service qualities are very good. I always had an advisory who was able to help us out. I believe that the main think I most enjoyed about your service is the fact that you make your services crystal clear, we tried to appeal ourselves. Very Complex process! Once your surveyor had visited our premises and basically layed out the details in plain English I was happy to proceed. Please be aware that appealing yourself can be very hard Carter Mills and Co advised me of the routes I can take to make an appeal. Thanks Guys!, If you ever need a website built we will offer you a reduced price as a thank you.

WE WON!
We won our appeal and I am going out for a meal!. Today we received a letter from the Valuation office agency stating that we have actually been awarded a reduction and we will be receiving a back dated amount of money. I was awarded a reduction of £1000 by the government as well as the valuation office a reduction of £2,700 approximately per year. My advise to people looking for a reduction...DO IT! Note: Carter Mills and Co will actually re-appeal your next ratings for free when you us the first service. Note: Carter Mills does not guarantee a reduction however if there is a reduction there you will get it.

Excellent value for money!
I used Carter Mills and Co to do my business rates appeal. They where very friendly and helpful, they really do know what they are talking about. My case Surveyor Mr Jonhston was a lovely fellow who seemed to understand my lack of knowledge within the business rates area. I was skeptical at first as the fee they charged me seemed too cheap for such a big service from them. Within the business rates reduction fee I will also receive a free appeal service on the next ratings list in 2015. But once i received my reduction, my back dated cheque soon arrived and I was happy. The best part is they didn't even ask for a share of my back dates money. Amazing and thank you.

Shoddy, sharp-practice, sharks
They took just short of £500 to make an appeal to the VOA having promised, nay provided examples guaranteeing, that I'd get thousands in back dated rates reimbursements due to overpayment. When I chased them to check the progress of the claim, they informed me the appeal was still in progress...I called twice more to be told the same thing. Eventually I phoned the VOA who informed me that Carter Mills had withdrawn my appeal three weeks earlier, and had therefore lied to me about their progress. When I phoned Carter Mills for an explanation they denied all knowledge and simply regurgitated their stock response....."We'll get back to you.". Beware, they never do.

Saved Me Money thankyou
Carter Mills and Co saved us money on our other empty building...I didn't even know we could claim for that! Being a building contractor in Northampton is expensive so every penny counts. Thank you so much!
