rom the minute you enter the private driveway, the wonderful countryside views over the RSPB Nature Reserve greet you!

Cartref, Fir Tree House, Treetops and Ty Llwy are situated in the 1 Acre grounds of Valley View and guests are free to explore the gardens, nature walks or take the path directly from Valley View into the beautiful Cwm Clydach RSPB reserve.

The grounds at Valley View give each unit a private area along with many areas to relax or enjoy the surrounding wildlife.

Can there be anything more enjoyable than a walk through the reserve...ending up at the village pub!

The main house, Valley View House, houses a social room where groups of guests can arrange to have the room for their very ownuse and turn it into the space they require!

You can bike form Valley View to The Mumbles without hardly touching a main road!

Cartref Holidays is constantly working with the Mar Trust and our local authority to help extend and improve facilities for bikers in Mawr.

We've not known anyone stay here yet who has not been temted to venture at least to venture at least the immediate area surrounding the RSPB reserve.

You can leave your car at Valley View and explore miles of unspoilt countryside with torrain suitable for all abilities. With the car at home, why not finish up at the NEW INN and then let a 2 minute ride on the 121 bus bring you to your door!

Of course, for those a little more serious about their hiking are more than well catered for with serious walking on the doorstep or further afield. We can even introduce you to THE MAWR WALKING CLUB who organise walks far and wide.
